Xilingshi v. Loki

Loki	The sun beat down in the midday. Two figures stood in a circle of ancient cracking stone, pillars holding up another circle all the way to the edge of the former. Some pieces had broken off and crushed the stone beneath, but the remains of the disc were largely untouched. The sun glinted through some of the larger cracks, leaving yellow traces of light showing the cold cracked floor's ancient patterns, symmetrical all around. It called to some era long ago, a time of ritual and sacrifice. The middle of the upper circle had a hole cut out, which shed light on the situation. Loki let a smirk light her face. Oh foolish crone, her opponent wasn't fit to fight her. Loki was a jaguar, and her opponent a beached whale. As an airbender, speed was the most important thing to Loki, and she doubted any power could stop her in her tracks. She'd zip in and cut the poor woman with her sleek dagger, accompanied by the delight of the kill, oh how fond. She doubted this would take too long, then Loki could be on her way. She bowed, with a flourish of her dagger and said, "Age before beauty, my dear." Her little smirk was ever present.

Xilingshi Nailah Zoraki	The crumbling ruins surrounding the two airbenders made Xilingshi feel right at home. It was almost to say that Xilingshi revelled in destruction, but it was not so much that as much as it was her being so used to war, and her bending powers being so destructive that it made her feel right at home. Xilingshi did not fear pain, nor did she fear death. She laughed hollowly at her opponent's gesture. "very well." she nodded, jumping backwards. She would start lighter than usual. there was no point in overkilling this woman by blasting her guts all over these ruins. not yet, anyways. she started by thrusting her fists out creating gusts of wind, and then flip-kicked, landing a few beet behind where she originally was, but also sending stronger waves into the air, in case her opponent tried to get some altitude above her. the first attack never meant much, though. it was about turning people's attacks against them.

Loki	Loki used a jetstream to push the wind blasts above her. The most powerful strike made it through, but it had fizzled out. It wasn't enough to push Loki over. The attacks were momentarily over, so she decided to gain some ground and pumped air in and out of her lungs, pushing her body forward. She was quick, and she hoped to surprised this woman. She had her dagger glinting by her side, and she did some cuts in the air with it while she ran. She used bending to project razors of wind from her dagger as it sliced the air. The cuts grew as they progressed and by the time they would reach her foe, they would be very long. She kept variety in them, some were vertical, some horizontal, and many diagonal. Would her opponent dodge or try to stop such sharp wind?
