Personality: Matsu is what you would call an adventurer; she loves exploring new places and meeting new people. She comes across as a pleasant girl, though many mistake her for younger than twenty-three. Talkative, friendly, and fearless, any encounter with the unpredictable airbender is sure to be one to remember.
Despite Matsu's empty-headed personality, she's actually quite an intelligent young woman, although she hates introspect. She's also not ashamed to admit when she doesn't know something, and is quite the curious little bugger. Questions are continuously pouring out of her like she's sprung a leak.

Abilities:
Airbending - Intermediate: Itamatsu currently struggles with her airbending, and it is the greatest source of frustration in her life. Upon leaving the Circus to study in the Eastern Air Temples, her bending lost its 'muchness'.
**She does not use her airbending to help her with her circus performances.
Acrobatics - Master: Miss Matsu began studying acrobatics and trapeze at the fine age of four years old, and has mastered it since as it was something she practiced every day.
Equilibristics - Master: She is also a master at balancing acts. She's particularly good at the high wire, although it is not one of her favorites.
Vaulting - Expert: When Matsu began to learn vaulting, she was extremely excited as she saw ways it could be applied to everything else. Not only can she vault over walls and other obstacles with a pole, but she can also leap over pommel horses and other gymnastics paraphernalia -- useful skills for criminal activity if she were so inclined.
Contortion - Expert: The youngest member of the Pasang clan is also an expert contortionist, as she began learning at the age of five when observing one of her Circus cousins practicing. It is still one of her favorites, as she loves shocking people.

Matsu's quite beautiful, although she hardly notices it. Her auburn hair is rather long, reaching the middle of her back, but it appears much shorter as it is usually tied into a tight side braid with gold fastenings. Her bangs are cut in a fashion that she constantly has to brush them away to clear her vision. Her eyes are a soft gray color, like the sky when it's snowing, and are quite big for her heart shapes face. High cheekbones indicate her mother's side of the family, while her sharp jaw and chin are inherited from her unknown father. A full bottom lip compliments the very pretty cupid's bow of her thinner top lip.

Her body is long and nimble with quite a bit of toned muscle, as she does what others believe is impossible. Her fair skin is complimented by her colorful clothing; she's most frequently seen in a tight yellow crop top under an orange and red sash. This goes over her left shoulder, tied at her waist. For pants, she wears loose capris in either red or orange, with yellow ballet flats.

Itamatsu comes from a line of circus performers, although it's not as glamorous as most would think. Her great-grandmother, Satzu, left the Eastern Air Temples to see the world and joined a circus along the way. There she met her husband, Kiao, a nonbending sword swallower. They had two children, a boy and a girl, and that boy grew to be one of the most renowned names in the circus world. He was none other than Matsu's grandfather, founder of the Pasang Traveling Circus. His marriage to a firebender had hopeful prospects, but sadly, none of their children gained her firebending skill.

Two of their four children were nonbenders, moving on from the circus to act a clerk in a Ba Sing Se library and the other has not been heard from in years. Matsu's mother and airbender, Pei Zhi, stayed with the circus her whole life, meeting Matsu's father on the road. Said father was only a one-night-stand, however, and she does not know who he is to this day. The other bender her grandfather spawned was Lihua, who chose to forego becoming circus folk and instead became mother of Matsu's cousin Hun-Hun.

A simple life with very little bad, it's no wonder that the twenty-three year old is so cheerful and friendly. She currently resides in the Eastern Air Temples to master her bending and one day become the owner of Pasang's Traveling Circus.
