Ryuu Takeshi	-- Three years ago -- Ryuu sat in a seedy little Earth Kingdom tavern sipping cautiously at the pale-colored, room temperature drink that the barkeep handed him. “Ugh,” he blurted out as its taste reached his tongue, he had to force the foul tasting brew down his throat. He wiped his mouth with his sleeve before quickly looking around the room, pushing the mug aside. It had been a week since he received his tattoos and left the Air Temple, but he wasn’t really sure about the world outside of it. He had made a temporary home in a small Earth village not far from the temple, and he was still deciding what he was planning to do and where he was planning to go. He hid his tattoos with leather gloves and a large hood and he sat right in the darkest corner of the room. He didn’t want anyone knowing he was an airbender. He begrudgingly pulled a silver coin out of his pocket and placed it on the table. “I don’t have enough money as it is, and now I’m paying for something I didn’t even drink,” he said to himself shaking his head. He walked outside slowly, the town was very small and empty, and it was truly a depressing place to be in. He paused for a moment to take a long look at the Eastern Air Temple, which he could just barely see in the distance. He found himself thinking of Xilingshi, his lifelong friend who grew up with him in the Air Temple. He told her he was leaving when he got fed up of the Council and their do nothing approach to everything, and hoped she would join him. Xilingshi however, loved her home and the Air Nomads too much to leave and she declined his offer. He clenched his fist as a burst of anger welled up inside of him, quickly subsiding however as he dropped his head and let out a long sigh. His sigh was interrupted as he heard a faint explosion coming from the direction of the Air Temple. Ryuu looked up immediately to see a plume of smoke rising from one of the three Pagodas that formed the Eastern Air Temple. Ryuu’s eyes widened with surprise and without a second thought; he pulled out his glider and shot up into the air, flying faster than he had ever flown before.

[OOC--this RP takes place about 3 years previous, for anyone who is wondering]

Xilingshi Nailah Zoraki	Xilingshi was furious by the fact that the Fire Nation continued their attacks on the Air Temples. here she thought they would have learned their lesson from the Western Air Temple, but apparently not. with their navy parked in the bay to the east, it was a seige that might last a while. The Tekina-Kaze had shown up on the scene rather swiftly, and most civillians were evacuated before the real attack could begin. Xilingshi and her crew were the ones who stuck around rigging the place up for battle. it was times like this that she had wished her friend Ryuu had stuck around, but he and the elders had always seemed to disagree on a few things. a few days ago, he had left as a result. Xi was sad to see him go, and he had even asked her to come with him, but she loved the virtues of the Air Nomads, and couldn't bear to part with them. she was an Air Nomad through and through. unsurprisingly, the Fire Nation brought out a slew of catapults from their ships, which they began bombarding the temple with. most of them just hit the mountainsides, but a few made their mark on the structures themselves. luckily none were enough to compromise their integrity just yet, but Xilingshi and her crew knew that it was only a matter of time. several of them opened their gliders and flew out above the seas to launch their specialized air-combustion attacks upon their foes, mainly at this point, just hoping to disable their weaponry. the fewer they had to kill, the better they'd feel in the end. Xi was among these, leading them. after ensuring that her fellow Tekina-Kaze new their battle plans, she retreated back to the temple to make further preparations and to continue arming the place to keep it safe. she had to hope that there would soon be reinforcements for them, because they were outnumbered badly. their only edge was the skies and the difficulty of accessing the actual pagodas. hopefully this advantage would hold out till then.

Ryuu Takeshi	From the air, Ryuu could get a good view of the ensuing battle. The Fire Nation was bombarding the Temple with their catapults, but Ryuu knew it would take a lot more than just that to bring down the sturdy structures of the Eastern Air Temple. His thoughts darted back to the Fire Nation’s earlier attack of the Western Temple, “was there ever a time when the Fire Nation weren't trying to wipe out the Air Nomads?” he thought to himself as he started getting closer. Amongst flashes of bright orange, Ryuu spotted a handful of airbenders performing Xilingshi’s signature air combustion attack and Ryuu let out a sigh of relief, “At least the Tekine-Kaze made it quickly,” he thought to himself. He knew the group led by Xilinshi was a formidable force, he even helped her petition its creation to the elders. It was probably the only time they ever faltered on their beliefs. Ryuu got a little worked up thinking of the elders again, “stubborn fools,” he thought to himself, as he approached the temple. Ryuu spotted Xi on a large balcony below. It looked like she was coordinating the Temple’s defences and he proceeded to land behind her, completely forgetting that he was wearing his hood and face coverings. He placed his hand on Xi’s shoulder, “I came as soon as I could Xi…what the hell is going on?” he asked as his eyes scanned the scene around him.

Xilingshi Nailah Zoraki	Xilingshi's warriors held a hardy defense, but they knew that the Fire Nation had sheer numbers on their side, which would win out in the end if they continued the siege long enough,. if Xi and her troops fled, they would simply commandeer the temple and she knew that it would be almost impossible to wrench it back from their grasp. she used range to her advantage whenever she could, launching powerful air blasts at her opponents and disabling any way they could scale any of the walls. the longer she could keep them out of trouble, the better. messengers from the civilian populace were already turning to Earth Queen Meili hoping for aid, but they had a long long way to Ba Sing Se. it came to Xilingshi's surprise as she found an unexpected visitor swooping into the fray, joining her side no less.she felt like she knew who this was before he even landed. "Ryuu!" she squealed upon recognizing him. she threw her arms around him excitedly, happy to see him back. moment later, she composed herself. "Fire Nation's attacking again. not sure what the bastards are after this time, but no way in hell am I gonna let 'em get it!" she declared, aiming her staff and shooting another powerful air blast at an approaching zeppelin. "so... what brought you back?" she asked

Ryuu Takeshi	Ryuu’s eyes widened as Xi threw her arms around him, but his face quickly turned to one of contentment as he closed his eyes and hugged her back. “Good to see you too Xi,” he said with smile. "Fire Nation's attacking again, not sure what the bastards are after this time, but no way in hell am I gonna let 'em get it!" said Xilingshi as she sent a powerful blast of air at an approaching Zeppelin. Ryuu acted as well by deflecting an approaching fireball safely over the Air Temple using a large air current. "So... what brought you back?" she asked as the fireball whizzed overhead. “I saw the attack from a nearby Earth Kingdom village,” he said with a worried look on his face, “I know I decided to leave, but this is still my home and I will help defend it…and my friends,” he said as he looked at Xi with a lopsided grin. He quickly drew his bow out and pulled an arrow from the quiver, “So what are we facing and what do you need me to do?” he asked as he looked ahead with resolve, readying an arrow. He knew that Xilingshi usually had a plan or idea, and waited to hear how he could help.

Xilingshi Nailah Zoraki	she nodded. "aye, it's good to see you back." she nodded approvingly as he deflected a huge fireball from hitting the temple. he still had skill, and she approved of it. just another reason she was glad to see him back. "well..." she replied as she heard his story out, "it's nice having you back either way. at the moment, we just need to hold out till some kind of reinforcements come." she explained that some of the civllians who had evacuated had gone to the Earth Queen in Ba Sing Se to get some backup and reinforcements. the Earth Kingdom and the Air Temples had long ago signed a peace treaty thanks to the efforts of Queen Meili. "right now, our advantage is range. we need to keep them at bay, and keep control of the skies. if we can keep them focusing their energy on trying to claw through our defenses, we will hold the upper hand for that much longer."

Ryuu Takeshi	Ryuu nodded at Xilingshi, “Right I’ll see if I can help us win back the skies by taking down some of their war balloons,” he said as he leapt up the nearby tower using his bending to make the impossible jumps. He landed on the roof and took aim at one of the approaching zeppelins, taking a very deep breath as he drew his arrow. He released the arrow quickly, exhaling as it rocketed from his fingers. The arrow flew through the air over an incredible distance, at unbelievable speeds due to him bending the air around the arrow in flight. The arrow soared true, not dropping an inch between the Ryuu and the zeppelin, also thanks to some clever airbending, and soon it found its mark. The arrow pierced through the window, striking the pilot in the heart. The zeppelin suddenly lurched to the side as the pilot fell over the controls, by the time the crew got him off and tried to regain control, the zeppelin had already been thrown into an out of control spin. Ryuu shielded his eyes as the zeppelin crashed into a nearby mountain and exploded into nothing but a big orange fireball and a plume of dark smoke. Being an airbender, Ryuu was taught that all life is sacred, but it was a teaching Ryuu often defied. He would have countless arguments with the elders and his teachers saying that the lives of people who start wars and ruin other people’s lives could not be sacred. And although he didn’t enjoy pointless killing, he would kill each and every one of the bastards that were attacking his peaceful home if he had to. Ryuu took aim at another airship but a fireball from one of the catapults appeared out of nowhere, heading right for him. Ryuu dived to the ground and fell flat on his stomach as he narrowly avoided the massive fireball. Luckily, the roof was strong and didn’t fall through. Ryuu smiled as he looked back at where the fireball hit and saw flames dancing around on the roof. He lifted himself up with a pained expression discovering that his side had been burnt by the fireball. He pulled out a arrow and a small container of highly flammable oil that he kept for situations like this. He ran to the fire dipping his arrow in the oil as he went, and then thrust it into the fire, igniting it. The arrow burst into flames as he quickly set it in his bow and launched it at the other zeppelin. The arrow hit the balloon and caused the balloon’s material to burn down and the zeppelin to tumble towards the ground. Ryuu smiled and he proceeded to turn around and put out the fire with his airbending. His smile, however, did not last long as a massive metal zeppelin burst through the clouds in the distance. Ryuu took a step back, “Uh…Xi…we have a problem,” he shouted as his eyes tried scanning the behemoth of an airship for any sign of weakness. He wasn’t really sure where Xi was, but figured that she would be close enough to hear him. If not, he would have to come up with some kind of miracle on his own.

Xilingshi Nailah Zoraki	Xilignshi nodded, twirling her glider and taking to the skies once again. she launched several explosive blasts to deter her enemies and to distort the zeppelins. she was not aiming for people in particular the way Ryuu was, but she wasn't judging him. it was not her place, after all. Xilingshi was used to explosions. after all, she had been the one to create a combustion-style move from airbending. the technique was kept highly-guarded because of its power, and only Xilingshi knew or had the authority to each it to anyone to keep it from falling into the wrong hands. a strong sense of discipline and adherence to Xilingshi's Tekina-Kaze Honor Code was required for her to teach it to anyone. Xilingshi dodged this way and that through the airships, sometimes using a powerful gust of wind to blow a balloon off course or attack an airship. a few times she and other Tekina-Kaze would land back at the temple to rest a bit or to get a less damaged glider. Xi was near Ryuu when he called out to her. "huh boy..." She groaned upon seeing the behemoth of a machine heading towards them. "basically... we're gonna need to join forces to take this one down... maybe infiltrate it... whatcha think?" Xilingshi feared little in her life, and this was not one of her fears. she was ready if Ryuu was willing to accompany her.

Ryuu Takeshi	Ryuu had now jumped off of the roof he was standing on and landed softly next to Xi, using his airbending to slow his fall. “I was thinking the same thing,” he said with a lopsided grin as he turned to Xi, “and I think our best bet will be to infiltrate it. It looks like the lead airship and we might find some of their plans or attack strategies aboard it that could give us an edge in the fight.” Ryuu gave Xi a confident smile before twirling his glider over his head, “Give me a sec to get their attention and try to draw their fire!” He said as he pointed to the firebenders on the airships lower rails. They were well trained and were shooting down any airbenders that tried to come close to the airship. Ryuu quickly shot up into the air and flew directly at the airship. He knew that this infiltration was dangerous, suicidal even. He was glad, however, that it was Xi who was joining him and would be watching his back, he couldn’t ask for anyone better. Soon a barrage of fiery projectiles emanated from the zeppelin, heading directly for Ryuu. He flipped over to the right to avoid them as he folded his glider and released a powerful air blast at his attackers. It was no use however; they were well trained and hanged on to the railing as the air blast hit and were soon continuing their fiery assault. Even if one did fall, they were attached to the zeppelin by rope so they would just climb back up. Ryuu quickly unfolded his glider and regained control but things weren’t looking good as he tried to dodge blast after blast. He couldn’t keep it up and soon a fireball impacted with his glider. Ryuu lurched uncontrollably as he tried to regain control, but it was futile, he was going to crash. He was close to the airship now and propelled himself forward with a gust of air. It was just enough, and Ryuu crashed onto the hull of the zeppelin. He impacted with it violently and rolled a couple of times before his body came to a complete stop on the top of the massive airship. His glider fell down to the ground now completely destroyed. He hoped that Xi had followed closely and that she had made it onto the top of the zeppelin as well, just without incident. He lay motionless on the top of the zeppelin as he slipped out of consciousness.

Xilingshi Nailah Zoraki	Xilingshi nodded. "welp... infiltrating it is then. let's get started." she let him take the lead, as he was much more likely to make a genuinely offensive strike. she was more defensive and for incapacitating. he was the one who was willing to kill. she waited as he drew attention to himself and away from her and other other Tekina-Kaze members, who were also buzzing around and occasionally offering assistance. Of the few things in life that Xilingshi feared, death was not one of them. she had Ryuu's back the whole time. she used her own bending from a distance to divert the course of many of the projectiles, particularly the ones that were headed for Ryuu so that he could get a clear shot at the zeppelin when he approached it. she gasped when one of the fireballs hit his glider, but was ready to catch him if or when he fell. she was the one that took the attention for a while, but her glider was much more of a prized possession; it was marked with various doodles and graffiti, which in a way, told a story of Xilingshi's life. she took off right after him, making a much smoother landing as she twirled her glider shut as she landed next to him. she crouched down to see if he was alright. "Ryuu? Ryuu?"

Ryuu Takeshi	Ryuu stirred as Xi checked to see if he was alright. He lifted himself with his arms and turned onto his back with a grunt, holding his head in his hand. He was obviously in a lot of pain. “I…I’m fine,” he said as he staggered up to his feet. He let out a sharp, “Ungh!” as he straightened himself up. He lowered his head and held his ribs. “Glad to see you made it safe and sound,” he said with a small chuckle as he peeked up at Xi with one eye, “thanks for the help back there, I know you were bending some of those fireballs away from me.” He was sincerely grateful. Ryuu appeared to be recovering quickly, despite his severe impact with the airship’s metal hull, although he did try to hide a lot of his pain from Xi. “Right, we should find a hatch and get in,” he said as he rolled his shoulder backwards to loosen it. “But Xi…” he said as he looked at her with a serious look in his eyes, “…I have to ask, I know we were taught that all life is sacred, and to incapacitate rather than kill…but look what’s happening!” he pointed at the skies, which were teeming with fireballs as they criss-crossed after the Tekina–Kaze fighters. “These people are murdering our friends, and trying to destroy our way of life! They are trying to wipe us out...again! So why are you holding back?” He wasn’t asking her this to judge her and he was most certainly not telling her she was wrong. He just needed to understand how she was thinking. Since he was young, Ryuu had always thought differently from the other airbenders. Xilingshi, however, always seemed to understand that he looked at things differently and was always the one to calm down his explosive temper after he argued with the elders. She was his clear voice of reason, so to speak. He could talk to her about anything and respected her words more than that of the entire council, because she always listened. Today was no different; he gave her his opinion, and would listen to hers. If she explained things to him and if she asked, he would refrain from killing any more Fire Nation soldiers, unless of course he was utterly forced too.

Xilingshi Nailah Zoraki	Xilinghsi helped him to his feet, rubbing his back. "I hate when people say they're fine when they're in obvious pain." she quipped, almost cracking a smile. while she wasn't always in a bad mood, it was rare to see Xilingshi smile. "let's get shit done." she agreed, and started searching for a way into this thing. as they were searching, Ryuu struck up a conversation. "The thing I have against killing is that not only does it lower us to their level, but when you kill a man--or a woman or a child, for that matter, you take away everything they have; everything they are, and everything that they could be. to incapacitate them is to warn them of your strength; to render them helpless, and to give them a chance to learn a lesson--to run, to run away and never return. it is not always the best way, but to me it is what is right." she paused for a moment. "don't think I'm trying to preach or anything though; just stating why I do what I do." she respected differing beliefs, particularly from Ryuu because he always respected hers, even when the two of them disagreed on things. Xilingshi liked that about him. she did take a break for a moment to launch a few shots of airbending at the fireballs to divert their courses. one was rediverted to an airship which exploded. "of course," she added, knowing that there were almost certainly casualties there. "sometimes there is no choice. it is not to say that we the Tekina-Kaze cannot and will not klill, but rather that we would try to find an alternative method to victory first."

Ryuu Takeshi	"I hate when people say they're fine when they're in obvious pain." Ryuu chuckled. “Well, it’s…ungh…more of a tickle really,” he said with a wink and a lopsided grin. He always enjoyed the sight of Xi smiling or at least seeing her on the verge of smiling, rare as it was, he always found it soothing. He thanked her for helping him up and also started looking for an entrance. He listened intently to what Xi had to say, occasionally deflecting dangerous attacks away from nearby Tekina-Kaze fighters. He stared at Xi as she finished and nodded. “Very well Xi, I’ll trust you on this and follow your lead…I won’t kill more soldiers, unless I absolutely have to.” He said as he glanced past her. “There! A hatch!” he exclaimed as he started running towards it. As he closed in he noticed it start to open, someone was coming up. His eyes widened and he increased his speed, using airbending to help him close in quicker. The hatch flew open and a guard’s head popped, before he started climbing out to try and stop the two airbenders. Ryuu grabbed the hilt of his katana as he closed in with the firebender and pulled it out just as the guard readied an attack. Ryuu pulled his blade out of its sheath and with a smooth, lightning fast movement, and thrust its hilt into the firebenders gut without letting the sword completely leave its sheath. The guard let out a long, “oomph!” before tumbling back into the zeppelin. “There!” Ryuu said with lopsided grin as he pushed his katana back into his sheath and went back to holding his injured ribs. “Now we are getting shit done!” he kidded as he gestured down the hatch. “Ladies first?”

Xilingshi Nailah Zoraki	Xilingshi couldn't help but give a hollow laugh, complete with an eye roll and a lack of a smile. "har har." she quipped, using her same deadpan humor from earlier, "very funny." she wasn't aware that he had liked hr rare smile, and since he didn't say anything, she thought little of it. she nodded. "Fair enough. just know that I am not forcing you to adopt my ways; I am simply explaining why I do what I do, and that it is not about to change. nonetheless... thanks. it... well, it's meaningful, and I'm sore to more than just me." she followed him till they found the hatch, and he took out the soldier climbing it. "sure. send the lady into the pit of danger first." she quipped, liking to use her dry, deadpan humor on him, "never min that where there is one soldier, more are behind him." she jumped into the hatch nonetheless, and after a couple banging noises and a slam of something heavy against a metal wall, she called up to him. "it's all safe now," she said in a mock-sweet voice. "Come on in."

Ryuu Takeshi	Ryuu grinned at Xi’s deadpan humor, now it started feeling like old times. Ryuu’s own sense of humor was not exactly the same as hers; they both participated in good-natured teasing and he enjoyed their banter, it helped get his mind of his pain a little. “I know you’re not forcing me, I am doing this because I respect your decision.” He said plainly, and it was true. He understood what she meant, and would follow her lead. As they stood over the hatch Xi said in typical deadpan fashion: "Sure. Send the lady into the pit of danger first." “’Pit of Danger?’ Oh now you’re just being overdramatic,” he said with a grin, “Besides, if I don’t let you take the lead every so often, you will never see any action at all.” He watched as she jumped in and heard loud banging sounds coming from below, and Xi called up to him in a mock-sweet voice: "It's all safe now, come on in." Ryuu jumped in and looked at the scene around him. “Well, I didn’t know that when you said ‘incapacitate’ you meant ‘beat within an inch of their lives’” he teased. He gave Xi a wink to play along as he grabbed the neck of the only guard who was still conscious with one hand, lifted him up using airbending to make it seem if he was unnaturally strong and slammed him against the wall. “Where is the Captain!? What’s your plan?!” he asked in an intimidating voice. “Talk or I will gut you where you stand!” he said as he pulled one of his daggers out. “Today the Air Temple falls!” the man said defiantly, “You Nomads are peaceful, you won’t kill me, my life is sacred isn’t it!” he said mockingly. Ryuu tightened his grip. “I WILL kill you! Trust me…” he said as he pushed the dagger into the man’s gut, pushing it into him with some pressure but not enough that the dagger actually penetrated. Hopefully Xi knew where he was going with this and would fall in.

Xilingshi Nailah Zoraki	Xilingshi nodded to acknowledge him. "I know... just make sure that it's what you feel is right, not what I think is right. right and wrong are only concepts of the human mind, which is why everyone perceives them differently." as she descended into the hatch, he made a quip to counter hers. "Love," she rolled her eyes, even using that term somewhat sarcastically, "I lead the closest thing to an Air Nomad army that we'll ever get. don't talk to me about not leading enough." he had her back, and the fought their way through the various ranks of soldiers against them. "hey, if they're living and breathing and not completely braindead, then I don't have problems with it. I do what I can to minimize the pain, and try to perform such things efficiently without all the hassle." she shrugged. it was best that they move on and get to the bottom of this. As Ryuu apprehended a soldier, Xilingshi had his back, but did not strike. she did not say anything, and would let Ryuu handle this unless he needed her. till then, she put on her menacing glare, which was helped by the fact that by default, she already didn't smile much.

Ryuu Takeshi	The soldier never budged and wouldn’t talk at all. Ryuu found his temper start to flare and stabbed the man in the leg with his dagger. “Don’t screw with me!” he shouted, but the man hardly flinched. “What the hell?” Ryuu thought to himself as he pulled the blade out and the soldier just stared at him, almost challenging him to do more. Ryuu saw this man wasn’t going to talk easily, and they didn’t have time to try and get him to. Ryuu squeezed the soldier’s neck and slammed him against the wall, knocking him out. He turned to Xi, “There! Incapacitated…and just know that I really wanted to kill that freak!” he said with a chuckle. “We don’t have much time…let’s head for the front of this thing, we are bound to run into something there.” He said as he took off down the passageway using airbending to increase his speed, and expecting Xi to follow. He soon came to dead end but noticed a steel grate under his feet. He put his finger over his mouth as he gestured for Xi to come have a look. Beneath them was the bridge, and it was bustling with activity. A tall, stern looking man stood in the center of the room barking orders and coordinating the attack. “Did the Infiltration team make it into the inner sanctuary? Good, and the so called Tekina-Kaze aren’t aware that they slipped past? Very good! Everything is going according to plan…” Ryuu looked up at Xi with a worried face. “The inner sanctuary? Infiltration team? This is bad…” he looked around, trying to think of a plan, “…what do we do?” He eventually asked Xi.

Xilingshi Nailah Zoraki	Without a word, Xilingshi watched Ryuu shout at the man, and then incapacitate him. "if you want to kill him, you can do that. I am not your leading authority, nor do I punish those among my ranks who wish to. I will not judge either way. but... let us move on." she followed Ryuu till they were above one of the main chambers where some of the leaders were discussing their battle tactics. Xilingshi was alarmed at what she heard. "we cannot expect to reach them in time. hopefully some of the Tekina-Kaze have learned of it. for now... we need to give them a taste of their own medicine, and get this whole rig sabotaged. hopefully these goons can swim."

Ryuu Takeshi	Ryuu couldn’t help but chuckle at Xi, “Xi…don’t worry…I have already made my decision, and I was just teasing you a little,” he said with a smile as he looked at the now unconscious guard, “but your right…let’s get moving.” Ryuu looked at Xi nervously as she spoke. As much as he didn’t want to admit it, they would never reach the inner sanctuary in time. He nodded at Xi’s plan. “Okay…taking this thing down shouldn’t be too hard…we could head for the engine room, and disable the ship…or we could going down there,” he said gesturing down at the bridge, “its full of guards and I doubt the ‘Captain’ over there won't be a pushover…it will be tough but we might be able to get more information…” Ryuu paused and searched her expression as he waited for her answer.

Xilingshi Nailah Zoraki	she nodded. "fair enough. let's move!" "well... we can fly." she replied, "they can't. so we need to take this thing down, and it sohuld take care of most of the soldiers. besides... that way any that survive will be basically incapacitated, and you know how the Tekina-Kaze feel about such things." she paused. "I don't exactly know where the engines and controls would be, but they'd obviously be in some farther corner of this thing near the bottom. if you have any ideas... please lead on."

Ryuu Takeshi	Ryuu looked around thinking for a moment. “An attack down there will be risky, but we will have access to the controls and their Captain...we might gain some leverage if we capture him alive.” Ryuu pulled out a small dagger and started picking the lock that held the grate in place. “I might have a plan.” He said as he furiously worked at the lock. “If you can distract the guards long enough, I can try and take down their pilots and navigators quickly. Then I can aim this thing right for the ocean. There will be a lot of guards though, and they will get reinforcements very quickly.” He stared her into her eyes with a concerned face. “You know I’m fast…I could probably have this thing crashing long before you’re overwhelmed…but it’s risky, and I am not in the best shape. I’ll let you decide if you’re up for it or not.” He said as he lifted the grate which he just unlocked and gestured down to the bridge with his head, “…and if you do decide to go in…be careful…”

Purna	Purna was in her room asleep, when the sound of an explosion had waken her up. Confused and half-awake, she moves up to her window. She looks out of it, seeing the fire nation sieging on the Eastern Air Temple. She had seen 2 people climb onto a fire nation aircraft of some sort that was in the air. Fireballs were whizzing against the air temple. It would only be a matter of time before they hit her room, or the core of the air temple. If they hit it, the whole place would probably fall down. On top...of Purna. She soon runs out of her room, using her airbender speed. She appears at the entrance of the air temple, peeking around the corner. Sure enough some fire nation tanks were ready. They shot a fireball down at the entrance. Purna dives out of the entrance, onto the snow outside of the air temple. The fireball did some damages to the entrance but nothing critical. They shot another fire ball at her but this time, she extended her hands out. Air bursts out of it, seeming to slow down the fire ball and take the fire off it. Now, it's just a rock. She sends up her foot toward the rock. Air comes out of her foot, sending the rock back at the tank. It hits the top but soon bounces off. "Uh oh......more tough then I thought." Purna dives out of the way of oncoming fire balls. She takes out her staff, swinging it to the left. Air is bended and is sent under the tank, attempting to push it over. Sucessfully, the tank flips over and is unable to move. "A weakness..."

Xilingshi Nailah Zoraki	Xilingshi shook her head. "a viable thought, but next to impossible to carry out. there are two of us and Zulera-knows how many of them..." she frowned. she watched what he was doing. "But... with enough distraction, and some Tekina-Kaze magic... I think we can do this." death was not something Xilingshi feared, and neither was pain. she was all in on this idea. "Let's get this shit started." she replied. she jumped down onto the bridge, and with a fell, sweeping motion, knocked everyone in a 215-degree radius off their feet. it wasn't nearly enough to kill them, or really even hurt them. at the most, it was like pulling a carpet out from under their feet, but the element of surprise would hopefully be their advantage. "NOW!" she screamed at Ryuu, hoping he'd get the hint.

Ryuu Takeshi	Ryuu nodded at Xi and readied his bow as she leapt down onto the bridge. He shut his eyes for a moment and prepared himself with a deep breath. His airbending technique made him really fast in a fight, and he would have to be if this plan was going to work. “NOW!” Xi screamed seconds after she disappeared onto the bridge and in a flash Ryuu followed her, jumping down through the grate, bow drawn. He released an arrow before he hit the ground and two more in rapid succession once he landed. The arrows were aimed at the three pilots that controlled the Zeppelin and hit them one by one in the backs of their ankles. They fell to the ground immediately and rolled about in pain, as Ryuu darted towards the controls, all the guards were still distracted by Xi. “What the hell?” he said to himself as he examined the complicated controls of the airship. He had no idea what to do, so he started flipping as many switches and turning as many valves as he could. It worked and moments later a loud scraping sound echoed through the entire airship as it lurched down and to the side, it was now on a collision course with the ocean below. Ryuu smiled and turned around to Xi. “Xi! I’ve done it! Let’s g…” he was interrupted as someone grabbed him around the neck from behind. It was the airships captain and he was obviously very well-trained the way he squeezed his arm around Ryuu’s neck. Ryuu tried to struggle free, but could hardly move an inch, the captain had him in a lock and he couldn’t get out. The captain called the guards off Xi and grinned. “Leave them! They will die on the airship they crashed!” he said lifting Ryuu off the ground and squeezing his neck tightly. Ryuu gasped for a few times before his eyes shut and he went completely limp. “Evacuate the ship!” the captain shouted as he tossed Ryuu’s motionless body to the side of the room. "You better attend to your friend, airbender...the clock is ticking!" He laughed as he broke one of the windows with a massive fireball and leapt out of the falling airship, with a parachute strapped to his back. The guards followed his lead and ran back through the large door that led out of the bridge, locking it behind them.

Xilingshi Nailah Zoraki	Xilingshi hoped that Ryuu knew his part of the plan, but she figured that that would be the least of her problems. she went in for the combat, using her glider as a bo staff to deflect attacks and block painful strikes. she was more than competent enough to handle herself on her own, and she performed quite the little acrobatics show as she fended off her assailants. luckily, it seemed he held out, and Xilingshi managed to knock out several of the soldiers. after hearing a large scarping sound, she knew that their mission had been accomplished. now they just had to bail before crashing into the ocean and exploding. ...or would they? Xilingshi watched as if in slow motion, as the captian knocked Ryuu unconscious, throwing him across the room. she didn't even weigh her options, instead racing towards him. her first step was to check for any sign of life. if she couldn't even find that, there was no point in trying to save a dead man, and she would go out after the Firebenders. "Ryuu!" she exclaimed, "Ryuu!!"
