Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet laughed. "Because you know I would catch you if you were weighted down by your machine." he winked, as something of a reminder of the encounter with the thief. He was impressed with her deadpan, but also decided not to mention that unless she was going to bolt in her socks and underwear, he could reach her clothes sooner than she would. He had the upper hand in terms of speed here. He had not been joking when he said he had skill. he was now going back to her back and thighs to get a lot of the smaller injuries of hers cleaned up, and here he was much more clearly adding a massage effect simply because it was easier to just rub along a whole area than to try and be all precise in getting small marks gone. He could tell she was starting to doze off, but he would keep her awake. "Now, I don't mind you falling asleep or nothing..." he quipped gently, "but just make sure that if you do that you don't blame me for waking up with nothing on your body but what you have on now." He was careful in his word choice here, because saying "without clothes on", (even though it applied since all of her remaining articles were classified more as undergarments) could imply that he was insinuating that she would wake up naked, which was not the case. "Also on that note... anything else you want me to look at?" he offered, referring mostly to any minor injuries he might have missed, "or would you rather get a massage?" he teased her scalp by running his fingers dexterously through her hair, as if to give the start of a scalp massage, before returning to her thighs, "conveniently" giving them extra healing attention. "Or do you have a different idea altogether?" he asked, leaving it completely open to indicate and remind her that she did have a dose of free will that Akhet was not going to deny her from having.

Minali Otoyome	When he responded to her joke, her only response was to hide her smile, turning her face away from him, with a murmured, "Y'got me..." Minali wouldn't leave without her Quake Fist, they both knew that very well, so she wouldn't even try to deny it. Instead, she half-ignored his other comments, so that she could enjoy the additional healing, until he asked her about any other injuries. Her response to his question was to arch her back in a stretch, checking how her body handled movement, now that her muscles were loose, the soreness ebbed. Reluctantly, she moved to sit up from her comfortable position. Facing Akhet, she gestured at her collar bone, where the last of the large bruises from using her metallic arm frame had resided. "This's th'last spot that hurts," came her answer. Minali was now acutely aware that she was sitting on a bed, in her skivvies, with a boy that she'd only just met, that day. He was a healer, she tried to reason with herself, he was used to seeing girls dressed in even less than she was, surely. That didn't stop her from keeping her eyes firmly set on his shoulder, rather than meeting his gaze, and the small blush from her cheeks.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Knowing that he had been right, he simply chuckled softly. He did sort of watch her stretch and bend as she tested to see how she felt, but all that did to him was confirm that she was indeed as cute as he had suspected. Nothing really new there. Almost before she even pointed it out, he noticed the bruise on her collar bone as she turned to face him. He had a gentle, friendly smile on his face that showed nothing of any real suggestiveness. He was good at hiding his thoughts. After all, her was male, and was only human, and could not help but like the fact that a cute girl wearing very little clothing was in front of him. However, Akhet was a momma's boy. She had taught him well throughout his childhood and healing training how to keep calm and not express any emotions during a healing session that would make the patient uncomfortable. After all, he had seen more women in less clothing, some older and some younger. Many of them he admired the beauty of, but he did not say a thing. "well then." he smiled in reply, "would you like me to take care of it for you?"

Minali Otoyome	"If y'want," came the quiet answer, deceptively dismissive. Minali did have her pride - and not just for her mechanical talent - so accepting the help was odd, for her. "...Yeah, Ah'd like that," She manages, half a moment later, "If y'could fix it. Please?" Her father would probably give her a lecture, if he knew that she was accepting help from a bender at all (let alone for being mostly-undressed in the same room as a boy). He had raised his daughter to do things for herself, rather than rely on the 'easy way'.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet smiled with his calm smile again, and nodded. "I would not have offered otherwise." he whispered. "lie on your back, and I will get to work." he shifted to the side of her once she laid down, so that it would not look like he was about to pin her. That, and if she had stayed sitting up, he would have had to lean really close, which would bring their faces close together. He figured that she'd think he was trying something. Once she was lying down, he began to gently apply the same water-based treatment to the wound the same way he had done with the rest of her body. "So..." he said softly, "you don't still think this is some elaborate setup, do you?" he probably could have resisted saying that, but where was the fun in that? He actually did not have anything up his sleeve that would purposely make her uncomfortable, anyways. His mother had also taught him to be self-reliant, although that there were some things that simply could not be done alone. If there was an easy way to do things, there was no reason to take the harder route, although it was also crucial that he not grow reliant on others for things he could do on his own. As for being alone in a room with a girl in her underclothes... he didn't mind it at all. He did have attractions to the female species like any decent man did, but he knew how to curb them enough. Besides... even if they did become friends, it was not like their friendship suddenly had to be romantic or anything. "How's it feel?" he asked, not quite done, but definitely making progress.

Minali Otoyome	"Aww hush," She admonished him, as he continued to tease her about the same thing, "Ah said Ah was sorry... Y'can let it drop." Minali allowed her eyes to slip shut, once again, almost as if to show her trust, relaxing under the water-healing. When Akhet speaks again, she hums softly, "S'already feelin' better... Ah can barely feel it, anymore." The bruise was definitely lessening, retreating from her tanned skin. Very soon, she'd be at one hundred percent - even better than when their misadventure had begun.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet let out a little chuckle. "and I forgive you. No worries. I just thought I'd make another joke about it was all." He did not even say this in an arrogant tone either. He just liked having fun, although was honest enough to state his intentions straight-up. "Good to hear." he grinned, "It means it's working." He was still gently massaging out the rest of the bruise. Just ike his emotional control, his skill and confidence over the water he was bending showed as well. he was quite good. He did sort of add a bit of a massage to this as well, mostly for effect, and mostly towards the upper part of her wound, to make it seem like he was sort of massaging her shoulder, while not doing so closer to her breast. While most of his focus was on the wound in question, his eyes did again wander slightly, darting around her cute undressed form. Most of his focus (when not on the bruise, that is), was incidentally her head, particular her face, and perhaps even moreso, those beautiful curls. However, he remained silent about that until he decided something. Perhaps being honest might help--or be painfully detrimental. He would have to chance it. "Admittedly," he confessed, "I did add some slight elements of massage into certain places that I was healing. Mostly your shoulder right now, and a bit on your back and legs. It may have helped to loosen you up a bit, although it also seemed to make you happy. Just a thought." He'd see how she reacted to it, and perhaps offer more if she liked or wanted more. not necessarily more than just a professional massage, but, like he often said in these situations... 'time would tell.'

Minali Otoyome	Minali opened her eyes slightly, giving Akhet a warning look. "Ah liked it," She mentions, in a guarded tone, "An' it helped... 'r seemed ta help, anyway; felt pretty good." There was no mention of wanting more, nor were there any accusations or threats of bodily harm. All in all, that went well. Now, however, she kept her eyes open, gazing down to look at her shoulder and the retreating black and blue mark. "Howssit look?" Her voice was curious and calm.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	he chuckled softly. "well... part of the reason I throw that in here and there is so that people will likes it. It makes alleviating pain that much more interesting, and less of just anxiously waiting to see if it healed properly or not. Besides... it's not like a massage always had to lead into anything more. I am a man who operates at pretty much face value, as you might have noticed." Briefly, one of his hands did playfully flick one of her curls without actually touching her head or face, but he quickly returned to the task at hand. "It's looking better." he said in honesty, "it was pretty large, so it is taking a little longer to help retreat as I guide your body to more quickly repair itself, but I should be able to get most or all of it gone by the time I'm done. Why? did you have a question about it or something?" Like most of his questions, this was one asked in simple curiosity. Akhet had since deducted that Minali was a relatively easy woman to understand because she was straightforward and honest. He liked that. He was actually similar, and even when he talked in riddles, those who knew the secret would know what he was trying to do. however, then there was deciphering the riddles, which was tricky enough by itself. But there were no riddles in his voice at the moment. He was honestly just healing her, kneeling to the side of her so she did not get the impression that he was insinuating anything suggestive. After all... one of his very clear goals was that he wanted her to trust him.

Minali Otoyome	"Ain't ever been healed this fast, before," She mentioned, now watching closely as he continued. When he was working on her back, Minali wasn't able to see the effects of his handiwork; it was definitely interesting. "How're ya able t'heal somethin' like this? Howssit done?" The curiosity was clear in her voice, since she was no longer worried about - or even thinking about - the fact that she was mostly naked, in his presence. One could almost see the wheels turning, in her head. This was the young woman who was mechanically replicating bending techniques, and with an actual margin of success, as well. This was a side of waterbending that she'd never seen before; the natural inquisitiveness that kept her creating was pressing her to learn more. She wanted to understand it.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet smiled in a way that actually showed pleasure as opposed to smug confidence or whatnot. Perhaps it was the teachings of his mother showing through, but Akhet as well had a fondness of people wishing to learn something new, even if it was something that was outside of his bounds of knowledge. "My mother knows more about it than me," he indicated, having not really mentioned his mother explicitly till now, other than referencing her teachings. "but assuming what she tells me is correct, it is a matter of manipulating the liquid in someone's body to speed the healing process. Obviously the body will repair itself over time, but waterbending simply speeds up the process a bit, helping pick up the pace of the flow of the various fluids and tissue." he paused, still softly massaging her shoulder, "and so obviously, a knowledge of the body and the various flows of fluid, including chi paths themselves, is important to know how to do it. You with me so far?" He figured that since she sounded like she actually wanted to learn how it worked, that he should make sure that what he was was not simply going right over her head. Incidentally, he was curious as to what she would do with this information, because he remembered that she had said that she was working on replicating bending--a trick that he actually found very interesting. Always one fond of seeing potential get unlocked, he was contemplating asking her more about her inventions. This too though, would require a certain approach and a good setting. He'd work on that in a bit.

Her brows knit together, as she tried to call upon some vague prior knowledge that she had heard somewhere before, "Th'bruises 're there because've blood 'n fluid 'n such, that's under th'skin, yeah?" Minali glances up at him, though she continues without waiting for confirmation or correction, "An' ya use yer waterbendin' t'move it around, so th'mark and th'pain fade away?" Oh yes, those wheels are turning; she's already considering how that could be done. Air could certainly move things around, but introducing air into the bloodstream was almost always a fatality... so it would have to be done without introducing anything foreign into the body. That was definitely a challenge; one that would need a lot more research, on Minali's part.

They are caused by internal bleeding and such. the water I bend over the skin is either to flush out the foreign particles or just to lessen pain while I work with the interior fluids. It is a tricky business, and waterbenders practice on dummies for a good amount of time before they go on to real people, because having that go wrong can be dangerous." he paused. the bruise was now small enough that he could work it with one hand, and so he used his free hand to idly play with her curls and see how she would react, as he continued. "But don't worry--I've been healing since I was 15, so it's not like I was going out and just randomly hoping I'd do it right. Asking someone to be a test subject is not exactly enticing, is it now?" he chuckled softly. He could tell that she was deep in thought, and so he would stick onto this subject for a while until her thoughts were satisfied. Besides... those curls of hers were adorable.

Minali Otoyome	At first, Minali didn't even appear to have noticed, or even heard him - it seemed that her eyes were blurred and unfocused, staring off into the nether. She was still thinking, her lips occasionally moving very slightly, muttering without a sound. Finally, she bit her lower lip, eyes slowly refocusing, looking up at Ahket. It took a moment, but finally, she answered, "Naw... wouldn't be very flatterin', in th'slightest." Though her thoughts were still racing, she managed to ask, "An' th'cuts? How d'ya fix them up?" Truely, she wanted to know everything, but she did know that asking one question at a time was generally viewed more positively than asking every question, all at once, and then waiting for all of the answers at the same time.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	The fact that it seemed she was not paying attention also meant that he continued to softly play with some of her curls. If she told him to stop, he would stop. it was that simple, just as he went into the washroom when she told him to. Akhet was simple in at least that fashion. "flattering..." he mused to himself. "not bad, Akhet. not bad." "exactly." he chuckled softly. "so rest assured--you're in good hands." He seemed okay with her questions, as he answered them with the same gentle calmness that he had been using. "similar to the way your skin will knit itself back together over a matter of time," he explained, "waterbending can work as a catalyst for that as well. the water I use also helps wash out the wound to get all the dirt and other particles from getting in there and stinging or getting infected. Obviously, there are limitations to this though; and so while things like scrapes and small cuts are manageable, you couldn't exactly sew a gaping wound back together with just water. But... most all the wounds you got were repairable, which is good, of course." He did have a decent amount of anatomical knowledge, which was a must for healers as well. Some members of the tribe had tried to tease him about picking up what they thought was a woman's profession, but he and his brothers would usually just laugh. Besides... he had more waterbending talent than just healing anyways. "Anything I know about the subject," he offered, still also massaging her shoulder to get the last remaining stubborn bits of color out of it, "I will be glad to answer for you. ask away." he said with a strangely sincere smile.

Minali Otoyome	"Some kinda med pack... 'r herbal wash," She was muttering to herself. As she thought, her knees were unconsciously drawn up, her feet placed flat against the bed; her fingers started to 'draw' on her thighs, as if mentally planning something. "Gel, snap, water based? Activated..." The discernible words were scattered, but likely told him enough about her thoughts. Once unable to proceed, with her current understanding, Minali bit at her lip again, slowly coming back to the present. "Ah'll have'ta read up on it, a bit," She confided in him, inadvertently assuming that he knew her thoughts, "Might be able ta fix up somethin' workable..." Before he could respond, she actually reached up, tugging on a lock of his hair, her lips curving into a very slight smile. "Turnabout's fair play," Minali quipped, matter-of-factly, tugging on it once again, though still gently. As her fingers brushed through his hair, half of her thoughts seemed to be elsewhere - the other half on how different his hair was, from her own.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet was listening intently, mostly in case she had any questions. He could understand her thick accent fairly well (and still personally thought it was cute anyways). his eyes darted to her thighs for a moment as he watched her hands, and then resumed focus on her collarbone. He was unsurprised that she was clearly thinking about building something like this, although he was not sure that a machine would be able to replicate such intricate and precise movements of human hands. Still... provided that she didn't try to test it on herself and lead to catastrophic results... he was interested in how this turned out. Or, perhaps he would accompany her, ready to undo any damage she did should it go wrong--which he assumed it would... not out of lack of faith in her, but out of knowing that almost never did something work on the first try... not even his own plans. "a knowledge of anatomy, bloodflow and chiflow would definitely be important." he assured her, "messing up a bending move is one thing, but healing is a tricky art that can be pretty nasty if you mess up." This was little more than a friendly warning, as he didn't want her hurting or incapacitating herself, as he had seen some unskilled healers do. "ah!" he said softly, slightly startled by the tug to his hair. he had a couple of tribal braids on each side of his face, and his hair was otherwise shaggy and went down just past his neck. "never said it wasn't." he chuckled with a grin, gently flicking a few of her curls repeatedly, not minding the way she was playing with his hair. It was very thick, but not coarse, instead having a soft, well-kept feel to it. Unusually, men seemed to have soft hair if they grew it out.

The braids each received tugs, though Minali mostly just continued to brush her fingers through his bangs, making them fall into his face, and then pushing them back up, repeating. "M'sure Ah could make somethin' workable, fer us non-bendin' folk," there was a certain amount of teasing in her voice, as she said it. Then, her hand fell to his shoulder, pushing him back away from her, so that she could sit up. "Ah think m'good... Thank ya, fer takin' care've me; fixin' me up," She smiled at him for a moment, before motioning toward the washroom, once again, "Gimme some privacy, an' Ah'll get dressed."

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	there were a few beads that lined the end of each braid; all varying shades of blue in color. With this hair shifted out of the way, his ears were visible, and notably, a pair of large, golden hoop earrings adorned both of his ears. They were otherwise plain, and since there was nothing for them to collide with, they did not make any jingling noises or anything, which meant they would normally not be noticed. "I believe it," he nodded, just don't go testing it on people till you're sure it works. I'd hate to have to fix up a nasty bad-flow of blood or something." he said with a soft chuckle. "You're welcome." he smiled. "I'm glad I could help." However, after her other remark, he just had to; HAD to make a joke. "And so if I don't, what happens?" he teased with a large, goofy grin, although he set his hands down on the bed and slowly started propping himself up to show that he was not being (entirely) serious.

Minali Otoyome	Reaching out toward him, her fingers gently brushed at one of his piercings, feeling the delicate loops. Moving on from those, her wandering fingers then met the beads strung in his braids, fiddling with them, all while Minali ignored his question. Her hand then fell carefully down to his shoulder. Her contemplative look had faded; a small grin on her face, she answers, in a whisper, "...Then Ah might do this." Minali pushes at his shoulder, knocking him back to the bed, using the continuing momentum to rise into a crouch. Jumping to the floor, she snagged her clothes with both hands, hugging them close to her chest like a treasure. Before he could catch her, she took a couple quick, light steps across the room - out of reach - pulling the washroom door open. "Ah'll just be changin'," She called back into the room before shutting the door, locking it behind her. Despite the wooden barrier between them, her triumphant giggles would be easily audible from the other room, along with the rustling of clothes. When she emerged, it would surely be fully clothed.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Suspecting that she might try that, he instantly concocted another plan. he laughed as he hit the bed, letting his legs swing upward as his back collided with the mattress. with them in the air, he kicked them forward with enough thrust that he jumped up and landed on his feet, giving chase to her for a split second, but stopping at the door without trying to reach and grab her, valuing the intact-ness of his arm. Sure enough, she slammed the door a split-second later where his arm would have been if he had tried to reach for her. However, instantly, he devised another scheme with a quick glance around the room. "I guess I'll just be borrowing this then..." he chanted back at her without even skipping a beat. It would take her at least 30 seconds to get dressed, and that was if she was in a frantic rush of some kind. He purposely grunted as he lifted her Quake Arm into his own arms, being especially careful with it. He then opened the door of the room really loudly, and made steps to sound as if he was going outside, when in reality, he was just sort of stomping in place, and hiding right behind the bathroom door waiting to see if she would react. If she didn't, he would still give her a nice little jump-worthy surprise when she came back out.

Minali Otoyome	Once she heard the goings on, outside the washroom door, Minali burst out of the bathroom; she was wearing her shorts, now, but her blouse had only just been pulled onto her shoulders and remained completely unbuttoned. "EY!!" She shouted, completely scandalized at the thought of her Quake Fist being taken without permission. Whirling toward the door, Minali stopped in her tracks, her wide brown eyes darting from Akhet, to her Quake Fist, and back. Reaching out, she tried to take hold of it, to tug it back into her grasp. "Gimme! What're ya doin'?" She asked, her voice risen in something close to alarm. That thing really was precious to her... It was the culmination of all her hard work, for nearly six years. Healing or not, she would not have let Akhet get away with it, if he'd stolen it.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	As she burst out, he could not help but chuckle. He quickly observed her reaction, and practically handed it over to her as she grabbed for it, making sure that it was in her grip fully before letting go. While it was a big hunk of metal, it surely had some complex innards that may not take too well to a good rattle. Even if not, he figured it was best not to take that chance. After it was safely back in her hands, he just chuckled. "gotcha." he cooed, kicking the door shut behind him. "even if I wanted to steal it, something tells me I would not get very far." he gave her a reassuring grin. He decided to also give her curls a playful flick, since his hands were now free while hers were not.

Minali Otoyome	Once her beloved machine was back in her arms, Minali clutched it to her chest, her large brown eyes welling up with tears. "Ah thought y'were really gonna take it," She told him in a small voice, looking up at him with all that hurt clearly visible in her eyes, "After Ah just - " cutting herself off, she shakes her head, the curls flying around her face, "Ah trust ya, but - please - y'can't do that again..." Though he may not understand, she's trying very hard to keep her personal fears out of the situation, keeping the situation in perspective, as her mother had been trying to teach her before she'd passed away. Akhet had proven himself to be a good person, thus far, but that small joke had truly scared her.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	A keen and observant fellow, Akhet realized at once that he had gone a little too far, to the point where, perhaps for the first time since they met, his smile disappeared. "I apologize." he said softly, closing his eyes and humbly lowering his head. "I did not know it would trigger such a reaction. I did not mean to frighten you that way. I promise I will not do it again." he put his fist to his chest as he said this, as if making some sort of tribal gesture, which was exactly what he was doing. He was more just using it as an example as if it would give his word extra backup. While he did not have a morbid phobia like his sister did, Akhet did have something of an obsessive dislike when people did not trust him after he felt he had proved himself. He did not want to break this trust so easily. Looking back up at her face again (only glancing at her opened blouse on his way back up), he took a gentler expression. "Anything I can do to make it up to you?" he offered, not exactly sure what he could offer here and now, (other than perhaps a massage, although he doubted that would come up) but willing to do a little extra something for her if she so desired.
