| by the time an hour passed, Zakura had fallen silent. the truth of the matter was that she had fallen asleep where she was. her hair was still wet, and the steam kept some water on her face, but she was not in any immediate danger, it didn't seem like. if she slid under, the shock would probably wake her right up.
Otherwise, she was still sleeping comfortably and without much other thought as to what was going on. since she was a heavy sleeper, even any noise Sayuri might have made in crawling out of the springs or whatever else, didn't even make her stir. she quietly snored away, and so that would be where her friend would find her if she chose to look.

Sayuri didn't go to find Zak straight away. First she dried off at the fire, and combed her hair out with her fingers, it hung wet down the length of her back, but it wasn't dripping anymore. She stood up in her robe and made another pot of the same tea, but it was much quicker in the making process this time. After a while she decided to go and check on her friend Zak, who had been in the water long enough.
After descending the steps yet again she stood and folded her arms at the edge of the water. She looked over at Zak and noticed her to be sleeping. Sayuri sighed but giggled at the same time. She took up a bending stance, and quickly churned the water around Zak, pushing her up onto the edge of the spring. She then promptly bended some water on her face, just to be sure. Sayuri giggled and put a robe down in the dry part of the room. Heading back upstairs, she sat on the couch with the fresh tea in front of her.

| Unsurprisingly, when Zak felt the water hit her face, she sputtered and flailed her arms around like some kind of deranged madwoman. after a shriek, she straightened out, shaking her head to fling water everywhere. "mornin' to you too." she quipped. she wasn't upset; just startled.
crawling out of the water, she pulled the water off of her body and out of her underclothes with one deft, sweeping motion, where it landed eventlessly back into the spring. she headed back upstairs, donning the robe and joining her friend on the couch for some tea. She did shamelessly slip in a grope of Sayuri's breast, but that might have been expected.

Sayuri giggled as the other girl joined her and slipped a grope in. She looked up briefly before adding another log to the fire. The dying embers quickly roared back into life. The shadows that the flames cast sprang back into action and continued to cast their strange dancing pattern over the room. Sayuri smiled and leaned back against the chair. She was right next to Zak, their legs touching. She turned to smile at Zak before turning back to the fire.
She looked into the flames and thought about random things, but they were merely drifting thoughts that held no purpose or meaning, just flitting on the edges of her thoughts. She smiled and closed her eyes, leaning her head on Zak's shoulder. She wasn't sleeping, just dozing.

| Zak smiled weakly, but mostly only because she was a bit tired, and very comfortable. she didn't mind that their legs were touching. they had seen all of each other anyways, and so Zak scooted closer to her friend to share the nice and cozy warmth.
Zak's thoughts started to slip into incoherent things, which she immediately recognized as a sign that she was falling asleep. not that she minded it. Sure Sayuri might prank her again, but she didn't think that any actual harm would come to her. So, she let herself slip away from the realm of consciousness without much in the ways of regret.

It didn't take long for Sayuri to completely fall asleep. The warm environment she sat in and the companionship of her friend made her quite content to just fall asleep. That night she dreamed off frozen winds and glacial ice. Nothing in particular struck out to her, so when she woke up the following morning her dreams had all been forgotten.
- Next day, roughly twelve in the afternoon -
Sayuri woke up to a pleasant morning. The sun was slicing it's way through the shutters, and faint birdsong could be heard. Sayuri opened her eyes and looked to her side, to see the sleeping form of Zak. During sleep, they had intertwined their bodies, hugging each other. Syauri smiled slightly, and gently untangled herself from the unconscious figure next to her. She stood up and headed quietly upstairs. Changing out of her robe and into normal clothes took a little bit of time, and brushing her hair a little more. She smiled at her reflection, which smiled happily back at her.
Back downstairs and Zak was still asleep. Sayuri carefully added another log to the dying embers before tiptoeing away from her friend. The candles had all gone out over the course of the night. Sayuri opened the window to open the shutters, before quickly shutting the windows again. The snow had piled up around the window, but because it was set into the wall no snow fell i. She repeated this process several times before light was able to pour through the glass. The windows were an oddity, surely, but Sayuri's house was like that.
Sayrui smiled and sat on a chair near to where Zak was. She watched her friend for a moment before picking up a book of the side-table, which turned out to be about medicinal herbs.

| Zak was asleep in minutes, and her dreams were weird ones involving chariots of lightning, gods of rock, and something about a bakery or something. None of it made sense, especially the part about the girl with a "12" emblazoned on her arm wielding this massive rapid-firing crossbow. They were weird dreams indeed.
By the time Sayuri had finished her little morning errands, Zak had indeed woken up, but all she had done was get her clothes back on before curling back into her little ball on the floor and falling back asleep. She was a late and heavy sleeper, and was one of those who was not at all picky with her sleeping arrangements. Essentially, she could fall asleep anywhere.
a little longer passed, and soon Zak woke back up, stretching, yawning, and rubbing her eyes--the usual 9 yards. "mornin'" she muttered lazily, not really adding much else or even moving a whole lot.

While Zak had been coming around, Sayuri had made a breakfast that consisted of pretty much everything you could want and more tea. She was now sat at the table eating while the smells of her labor wafted around the room. She smiled when Zak woke up and called out "Morning!" to her.
Sayuri continued to eat her breakfast while she looked out of the window. The snow drifts were at least seven foot deep and would take some moving around. Sayuri didn't have to work today and her parents came home soon as well with her kid brother. She sighed at the thought and continued to eat her breakfast in relative comfort.

| "Mornin'," she cooed, stretching, getting up, and then yawning. she was dressed at this point, and so technically if she needed ti hightail it, she had a few plans. The deep snow otherwise didn't faze her, but if they were snowed in, that meant any other visitors were snowed "out" until it was cleared.
she decided to help herself to some breakfast, taking a little bit of everything and then sitting across from Sayuri. she glanced towards the window and then back at her. "how is anyone getting anywhere with snow that deep?" she asked. Sure there was waterbending, but that took a lot of work, and the snow would usually blow over in another day or two anyways, even if it didn't melt.
