A meal and a stroll (Naseru & Kozue)

Kozue stuttered through another thank you, in a adorable sort of way.  She seemed just as joyous and bubbly as most woman her age, clapping her hands together in a sign of happiness as he signed to her.

When he posed his last question Cyrad knew it wasn't that clear.  In answer, Kozue curled into a ball on the floor, modest clothing would have blocked the peeping eyes Cyrad didn't have.  She continued to sit up then go through motions of sleeping in a bed.

Cyrad paused and thought for a moment.  He pointed at the pretty woman sitting across from him then did the sleeping in a bed sign then did a circle with his finger  like earlier but a larger one, indicating the entire building rather than the room.  He held both hand up to her as a pause then tilted his head resigned sleeping and pointed out of the main door.  Basically he was asking if she lived in the house with Naseru, an answer he obviously knew yet the answer was not the quest of the question.

Cyrad understood the gesture of love towards her adoptive father Naseru, and smiled with fondness as she sign what he took as a gesture of friendly admiration towards him.  He smiled as he received the latter.  Then posed a question towards Cyrad's opinion of the duo.

Cyrad pointed to his teacher, Naseru, and first nodded as she had done for him but then continued into a bow, showing his respect for the man's status as a bender and his master.  Then he pointed to her, he stoked his cheek, tapped his temple twice, then pointed at a smile.  He pointed at her again then nodded in admiration.

He pointed at her after answering her question.  He moved his finger from her to Naseru back and forth while opening and closing his hand like a mouth.  Then he did the same between Kozue and himself.  Finally he did the sign yet another time but pointing to Kozue and then the air while shrugging, his other hand doing the same talking sign.

She answered a with a series of gestures detailing how Naseru spoke with more subtle hand tracing and she and Cyrad spoke with more obnoxious movements.  And though it did not fulfill the inquiry he had intended he left the question for later use when he had worked out more kinks in communicating with hr.  Though he showed a smile and a happy nod so not to discourage Kozue.

Cyrad started to roll his toes making the rocks and pebbles in his beard rotate and start to come it.  He stroked his beard as he pondered how to continue, as he sat there a deep yawn built up inside him and clawed it's way free of it's prison, lasting several seconds.

Unsure, he asks simple question.  He points at Kozue, then does the nod of liking, then shruggs.  Basically he asked what she liked, with such an open question he hoped to see a little into the isolated island that is her mind.  He pondered how she thought, he often fell into the vast plains of his mind but for each thought he had a word or a picture yet Kozue was both blind and deaf, he wondered if there were wheels turning up there or rather a sands of time slowly shifting.

Kozue caught yawn flu but made a face, Cyrad guessed, was several times more cute than the one he had shown.  He allowed himself a soft laugh and a smile.  The way she innocently smacked her lips to calm the yawn held a certain beauty to it.  He broke into smile to mirror his, which had yet to depart his mouth.

Kozue smiled and tugged on her dress and did her nod of approval, obviously saying she likes being dressed up nice.  She lifted her black hair and took in the aromatic smell of her hair then did a similar gesture with an imaginary flower, so she liked pleasant scents.  She pretended to bring food to her lips eat it.  With a quick raise to her feet, spun once in a cyclon of cloth then she proceeded to dance and move about.  She was light on her feet and reminded him of a butterfly as she gracefully danced about the room.  And though she heard no music and knew no beat it the dance held some charm.  She bended first a purple fire then shifted it's color to orange then red before extinguishing the fire in a closed fist and then she asked him in return.

Cyrad took his pointer and ring finger of his right hand and swung them back and forth imitating walking.  He pretended to hug in imaginary lover and cradle a child, before giving a longing nod.  He pulled his fathers hammer from his belt and placed the handle in her hand before making her arm go up and down like she was striking something.  Cyrad wasn't sure if the concept of smithing even existed in her mind but he assumed she'd understand it represented something he enjoyed.  He reached over with his rocky arm and rolled his fingers against his palm dusting Kozue's hand with small rocks and dirt.  Cyrad stood too, not to be outdone, and pointed at Naseru before getting into a bending stance and pretending to earthbend, then he pointed to himself and raised a hand to his face before wagging two fingers from his eyes to Naseru before getting into the same stance he had before moving through the same actions.  Cyrad sat back down.

He had considered showing her his sword and swinging it but he thought it not only poor class to draw a weapon in a woman's presence but also he did not enjoy using a sword.  Well, maybe to practice, when going through the steps smove and beautiful but he did not care for taking life, even if he didn't hesitate to take it when necessary.  And that was not a part of the world Cyrad wanted to show this beautiful, innocent woman.

Cyrad smilied with her question, did he like the outdoors.  He had been raised out doors, a nomadic family.  For Cyrad spending time in the wilderness was like spending time at home and though occasionally dangerous he was confident in his abilities.  He signed over the his love for nature and followed the best he could about how he often slept outside.

Cyrad pointed to himself then, Cyrad asked for and took Kozue's hand before rolling it over and placing his two "walking" fingers on her palm.  He dropped a pebble on her fingertips and then walked his finger to kick it away, then he blew lightly on her wrist and walked his fingers back across her hand, he had to take his hand from under hers and pull a waterskin from his pack and dribble a drop onto her fingertips where he had placed the pebble and then walked his finger across from the other side of her hand.  This was ripe for misundrstanding yet for his final "sentence" Cyrad walked her fingers across her hand and pointed to her, would she understand him using her as a surrogate for the firenation.  He was trying to get across how he has traveled to all four nations, though never to a large waterbender settlement.  

He figured since they just covered they liked he would ask what she feared.  Of course he decided to show something that he was afraid of first.  He looked at her, and hugged himself, glancing this way and that, trying his best to look scared.  Then wagged his hand this way and that like it was a bug, then he pointed at himself.  He pointed at her and mimicked her question shurg.

Cyrad woke with a start, his ears and face flush with embarrassment.  He was sure he had only fallen asleep for a few moments but he was angered by how rude it was to Kozue.  He was sure she was to take notice, probably of him falling asleep and most definately him waking and blushing.  He did his best to convey his apology.

He knew he haden't slept long because he had seen all of Kozue's response yet while he had been thinking of how to reply had fallen asleep in the blink of an eye.  He hadn't thought that Kozue would have had a far spanned life and he mused of years past and bringing Kozue to a thousand marvelous places, yet he dare not stay on the thought for fear of falling asleep should he swim about the confines of his mind chasing fantasy.  Her fear seemed to be burns, particularly on her hands.  It made sense, burns dull touch and pain must be so much more sharp when you have only three senses.

Cyrad pointed at himself and then stretched while yawning, telling her how worn out the day, and the earlier practice had worn him out.  He pointed to himself again and did a walking sign, warning her of his near departure.  Then he darted his finger from her to him, before running a finger in a arc like the sun passing through the sky, and showed a sign of walking then another of talking.  He knew it shouldn't be a trouble should Master Naseru hadn't too much to do the following day.

Cyrad stood up, stretching his body and called to Naseru in the other room.  "Master Naseru, I think I may leave, I fear I'm more worn from today's practice than I'd like to admit but if it at all possible I would like to spend some more tie with Kozue, tomorrow perhaps?"
