Fengkuang Baohu	Feng stands in the middle of what looks like a 25 yard x 25 yards bare patch of ground beind a large house. His eyes closed, his stance wide and strong he takes in a deep breath and begins practicing as he waits for his pupil to arrive. His eyes flash open and he punches the ground in a blurr it cracks and less then a second later at the end of the crack 3 feet away a sharp pillar of earth shoots up at an angle. He removes his hand from the ground and stomps his foot and the spike of rock breaks from from the ground and hovers next to him. He punches his fist at it and instead of shattering his fist on stone his hand seems to sink into the stone and he twists his arm and the spike turns to sand and falls to the ground. Complete control, this is what he was demonstrating to himself and practicing. "Where is that child? she is running late already."

Cozy warm, she dreams about rolling around in clouds, kicking rain down on the plants below. A nice cloud, she gives them a drink. The cloud tries to rumble-roll and one arm gets stuck under her body, the arm asleep. Dao blinks, and wiggles, trying to get off her arm as she wakes up in a bed. A bed! She gives up on her dead arm, and rolls back onto her back, thinking over the day. A Dai li trainee, if Feng was telling the truth. "Feng-san."

Her body bolts upright at the waist, left arm still dangling, although that nasty tingle was starting. Feng-san. She looks out the window, and it's darker outside than it is in the little house. Scooting off the bed, she runs over to her tunic and pants hanging from her yellow ribbon that is tied between to chairs. Still wet! "Oh oh oh...." She puts them on anyway, and tucks her chopsticks into her sleeve before running out into the courtyard. She stops dead, watching Feng punch through rock, turning it into sand. She stands a few feet from the door.

Fengkuang Baohu	He looks over seeing her stop and motions her into the square. He places her in front of him."Okay, I want you to take a stance like this." He takes a wide stance spreading his feet demonstrating. "Now stomp your foot like this and I want you to command the rock to obey you." He does this and a boulder comes out of the ground and he drops it in front of her

"Ok, Feng-san." She pushes back from the boulder, and takes a wide stance, wriggling her little sandals into the dirt. She stomps her foot, staring at the ground. Nothing. She taps her fingers together, still in the wide stance, and glares at the boulder. The boulder. She thinks about Feng's cane, and pulls out her chopsticks, holding one in each fist, wide ends facing the ground. She stamps her right foot, and crouches, poking the chopsticks at the ground. "Obey me!" She shouts at the boulder.

Fengkuang Baohu	Feng facepalms litterally as he watches her and walks over and tries to take her chopsticks. Don't use a tool, your not ready for that yet. If he were to take the cop sticks he would tuck them into his belt, if she dodged he would expect her to put them up. This isnt magic, you dont shout at something, you concentrate really hard Dao. Think of the rock as an extension of yourself. You need to learn at least how to do basic bending before we leave in 3 days.

Dao Haizi	Clentching her hands as she watches her chopsticks being tucked into his belt, she scrunches up her nose, then blinks when he mentions them going somewhere. She nods up at him, then stares at the boulder for a long minute, a breeze ruffling her hair. She stands wide legged, and then stamps her right foot again, a spiderweb of fractures rushing out from the impact in all directions about fifteen inches in diameter. She stares down and makes a scooping motion with her hands, and a small pebbles and some dust lift from the ground. Her eyes go wide and she starts to giggle, her hands cupped in front of her chest as the pebble cloud rises, then rests on top of his boulder. She claps her hands and beams up at Feng. "D'ya see that Feng-san I did it I made the ground break and then I put pebbles on your rock did you see?!"

Fengkuang Baohu	He smiles big as she got it on her second try. "That was really good! But now I want you to try to get a bigger rock out out of the ground so try again. If you think you can get it as big as you want." He steps back watching her.

Dao Haizi	She hops around for a minute, singing. "I'm gonna be a big bad earthbender, I'm gonna be sooo cool!" Spinning around, she catches sight of him watching her, and she drops her arms, and lands with her feet wide apart. She tunes into the feeling she had before and jumps up, and lands with both feet hitting the ground at the same time. A soccer-sized stone pops out of the ground next to her, and she hops up on top of it. "It's huge! Look!" She crouches and pats the rock, beaming.

Dao Haizi	"Ok, Feng-san! No problem!" She jabs out her arm, pointing towards the edge of the courtyard. The rock moves a couple feet, stopping beside his boulder. She twists her lip, thinking about this. She winds up her arm and points again- a plume of dirt springs up at the edge of the training ground, the rock doing nothing. She growls in frustration, and stands there, hands on hips for a moment. Squinting in concentration and anger, tries to stare down the rock. Nothing. Digging in with her sandals, she rushes the boulder and hits it with the palms of her hands, trying to push it, and the rock flies into the wall at the edge of the courtyard, breaking into smaller pieces. "Ahahaaaa! I wanted that stupid rock to break all up!"

Fengkuang Baohu	He laughs alloud."Thats it now make a rock like that again this time try and hit..." He stomps his then makes two hand motions and a 4 foot pillar of earth pops up with what look like arms "I want you to hit that dummy with a rock."

Dao Haizi	Her mouth drops open as he makes a giant stone doll before her very eyes, and she immediately starts thinking about what colors to paint it after they are done training. What size rock wouldn't break her new toy? She concentrates, and stomps her foot, and a rock the size of an orange pops out of the ground. She cups it with her hands, the rock floating between them, and she holds her arms over her head and makes a chucking motion toward the stone doll. Her rock flies by a good two feet from it's right arm and lands, kicking up a small puff of dirt. Unphazed, she spins around and giggles, "Hey Feng-san I didn't touch it at all that time!!!" She meant the stone, although one could tease and mention she didn't hit the target either, but she wouldn't care. The little girl was starting to get the hang of this, and she had a new stone doll, to boot.

Fengkuang Baohu	Feng watches her efforts with interest. With every attempt she was getting better and better and to be honest he was impressed by her efforts. But he makes as stern a face as he can muster and waggles his finger at her."Nah ah ah, you have to hit the dummy with the rock, nothing else is acceptable. He knew she muct be getting tired but with a short 3 days until their trip she needed to be prepared.

Dao Haizi	She giggles a little more at his finger-waggling, then nods fast. "Sure ok, Feng-san but I don't want to break it ok it'll be so much fun to play with it later and I can paint it pretty colors and can we take it on where we're going and ok hang on." She takes a deep breah and turns and faces the stone doll, squaring off from it about ten yards away. She stares at the dummy, then leans down and touches the ground. Her messy hair bounces as she nods, slipping off her sandals, digging her toes into the ground as she considers if the four foot stone doll should be a boy or a girl. Boy, definitely. She stomps her right foot, her hand pushing down in time, and five dumpling size stones pop out of the earth, then settle on top of it in a small puff of dust. She raises her right hand, then her left, a stone moving into the air with each motion. "Go!" she shouts pushing her right hand forward, then her left, and windmills. the stones flying. The third, fourth and fifth stones follow suit as short arms pinwheel, the girl squealing as they fly. Four of the five stones hit the dummy in the torso, knocking small chips out of the larger stone. "Oh..." Dao stares at her new doll, and frowns. "I messed it up. Can you fix him, Feng-san?" She spins around, staring at Feng with wide eyes.

Fengkuang Baohu	He laughs knowing full and well they wont be taking that massive training dummy doll anywhere with them. But with those massive overly cute eyes looking at him he sighs and nods twisting his left foot and the dummy shoots down into the ground then he twists it back and it shoots back up looking perfect.=olive] "Er Dao you know that we cant take that training dummy everywhere we go right? But if you want I can make you a smaller stone doll."
