”More fluid; to control the water, you have to understand it. Become one with it, feel it within you.”
”I understand the theory; once our plan is complete, I’ll be able to put it into practice. I am ready for this, Nelekar.”
The pair stood upon the deck of a large wooden ship that was anchored upon a small island to the east of the Southern Air Temple. They were going through some of the more advanced Waterbending forms, having already covered and (in Elegys’ opinion) mastered the basics. They had no need for water upon the deck, since what they were practicing was simply the base motions rather than the control of the element itself; Elegys did not yet have the ability to bend water, after all.
“Lord Nelekar?”
The Water Chieftain looked slightly to the side to lock eyes with the man who had interrupted them. He let his arms fall to his side and set his steely gaze upon the man, staying completely silent.
“Sir, your guests have just started to arrive. Once they reach the ship, shall I see them into the conference room?”
”Of course. We can’t meet them in the kitchens, can we?” Nelekar scoffed, causing the man to turn red in the face before saluting and hurrying away. Elegys breathed out slowly. All of his work so far culminated in this moment – his search for allies, his bargaining, and his secret work behind the scenes. Soon, they would be ready, and balance would be able to truly be restored.
Nelekar motioned for Elegys to lead and he did so, nodding to his old friend as he did so. He opened the nearby door and descended the stairs inside before emerging in a large room with a huge circular table in the centre, surrounded by six identical chairs. Elegys took the furthest one, while Nelekar decided to stand. He walked slowly to the small cabinet in the corner before retrieving a small tumbler and bottle of amber liquid. He held it up to Elegys as an offer, but did it half-heartedly.
”Drink?”
”No. I still do not drink alcohol, Nelekar; nothing has changed since you asked me this morning,” he said, his tone slightly brash.
The Water Tribe Chieftain flashed one of his rare smiles, closing the cabinet with a kick and walking over to take the seat at Elegys’ left. ”But of course; more for me, I suppose. I just wish I had left some more ice down here,” he said, brooding over his glass. Energy rushed from his fingers and the glass began to frost slightly on the outside, rendering the liquid cold and suitable for consumption. ”Much better. Now what?”
Elegys looked his friend in the eye, his vision dark and unwavering.
”Now we wait for our allies, and see what kind of chance we have.”

Daichi was extremely excited. He wanted to introduce Elegys to his new friend Jampa. Jampa was a bison Daichi helped feed in the wild. Jampa did'nt seem to have a mother bison. He was all alone when Daichi found him in a cave at the base of the temple. Jampa moaned as Daichi rubbed his head. "Look buddy I'm going to need to take you with me. I can't leave you out here." Daichi said.
The Bison followed Daichi as he walked down the path to the inlet by the sea. The Bison would hover at times and come back to the ground. Daichi saw a ship in the distance. It was probably Elegys and the rest of the gang he had assembled. Jampa and Daichi walked to the skip where he saw Elegys at the bow. The Bison and the Young Airbender entered the ship.

| Tzekel-Kan

The creaking of the ship as it rocked on the waves of the sea were loud and annoying. Tzekel-Kan sat meditating, or at least trying to. The footsteps of the crew was another nuisance. He gritted his teeth as he tried to get some peace. After some hours, he relented that he wasn't going to get it. He re-positioned himself, and tried to go into the Spirit World. It was relatively easy, he thought as he seemed to fade into the other world with little effort.
He sat for hours, his mind and spirit in a different place. He was standing on a rock above the Fog of Lost Souls. All those poor people, probably hundreds, wandering endlessly. He almost pitied them. One day, he would consume the enormous spirit that was the fog. Not to help the people inside, but the added power would make him stronger than ever before. But not now, it's power and greatness far outweighed his own. There were a few other spirits that he had on the list. Galaad, a spirit of revelation that he hadn't heard from for quite some time. There was the fog, and then Koh and The Mother Of Faces. Those would be the toughest to take down. The first step to taking these great spirits were Ravaa and Vatuu. Ravaa would still be weak and small, but still overwhelming in spiritual strength. Then the next was Vatuu. He hadn't quite planned out how that would come about with Elegys wanting to take him, but Tzekel-Kan would improvise sometime or later.
He reasoned that by now they would be nearing the coast to pick up their new allies to take down Zulera. Zulera. That name invigorated Tzekel-Kan, giving him energy and pumping him up. It would be soon that he got to fight and consume Ravaa, if Elegys was true to his word. He had learned of many things in the past month or so being aboard this ship. Two of them was about himself. One, He was able to change his appearance using the spiritual energy inside of him. He could, with a little bit of effort, look just like Elegys or any number of people that he had seen. Second, was that he was able to send a bit of his spiritual energy into some people who were far less spiritual. If they were connected to spirits in almost anyway, the possession was almost immediately disregarded. He could do it to the normal folk, which some tended to grow like an animal, or grow into a tree, or a number of other hideous things. Some lasted much longer, being able for Tzekel-Kan's control until they ended with the same fate as the others. He didn't like to do it. It was horrifying, even for him. The other things that he had learned were of the world. Governments and every inch of the world being covered by people. He had even seen a map of this new world. Elegys taught him of the Nations and how they ran, how people act day to day and what the Avatar's role in it all was. Then he learned of past Wars and other dirty things of humans. Lastly, common items of the world. There were a lot.
He faded out of the Spirit World, returning to his original body. The first thing that faded into his consciousness was a knocking at his door, and an uncertain voice calling him from beyond it. "Kan? You awake?" A guardsmen oustide asked nervously. Tzekel-Kan wasn't looking like his normal self, but more of a well groomed man that he had seen in the Southern Water Tribe. He changed by advice from Elegys. Aparently he looked scary to the men on board, and Elegys would rather have them at ease then tensed up around Tzekel-Kan. So he had adopted the name Kan and changed his form. "Yes, I'm here. Are we nearing the coast?" Kan asked. The guard let out an audible sigh as Kan replied. "Yes, we are. Nelekar asked me to inform you." "And I am informed. I will be out soon." Kan wasn't usually this nice with his voice, but he was smart enough to play it nice on this boat. He stood up, and walked out of his room, seeing that the guard had left. Kan then moved into a small conference room, like Elegys had told him before hand. He wasn't to come above deck for whatever reason. Kan also wasn't allowed to change back into his normal form. There was to be an ally who hated spirits, and chaos was sure to ensue if he was in his normal form. He took a chair, and sat down.

As an Earth Bender, Gan had a natural dislike to being on board ships. Earth Benders always felt naked being all the way out in the middle of the ocean with no Earth around that could be bended. Unlike most Earth Benders, Gan did not have this feeling with him. He didn't rely on being around Earth to have weapons, he carried his own.
Gan also noted now the type of allies Elegys decided to recruit. Perhaps the one who brought the most attention to his eyes was 10,000 year old man Tzekel-Kan. Although Gan hasn't meant him personally, he heard that Tzekel had the control of many spirits in his bodies. Whether this was true or not, Gan really hated spirits. Tzekel-Kan was the embodiement of countess spirits, so naturally, Gan would really hate Tzekel. Still, Gan would put away his own desires for now, once the avatar has been dealt with, then he can deal with both the spirit users and Tzekel-Kan and even Elegys...
Being called up to the conference room of the ship, Gan gathered his thoughts and made his way up into the room.
Gan stood in the room amongst all the other people Elegys had recruited to his cause. Gan also noted to himself that the air around Elegys seemed a bit. Almost as if something within the monk had changed since they last met. It seemed something in Elegys was growing darker and more corrupted. Gan smiled to himself over this thought, it only seemed that this darkness would grow. Gan knew he would enjoy watching the monk fall into the abyss.
Gan spoke aloud to Elegys, wondering what he wanted to do next. "Elegys, your plans have begun to bear it's fruits and the pieces are now falling into place. With that being said, I must now wonder, what is next?"

The nomad made eye contact with each of the men as they walked in. Out of the three, only one took a seat; the spirit devourer, Tzekel-Kan. He had taken on the appearance of a Water Tribe Civilian at Elegys’ behest, since the Airbender knew that Gan wasn’t so fond of spirits.
The major concern that came to Elegys’ mind was the fact that one of their group was missing – the mercenary Youta. He ground his teeth loudly before letting out a sigh.
”Please, take a seat,” he said to the two non-seated members, before turning to look at Gan as he spoke.
”You are right, Gan; so far our plans are going well, but now is the crux in our scheme. This is the make or break of the whole situation; our whole lives. As some of you may know, Nelekar has become the Chieftain of the Southern Water Tribe; it is there that we will finish our story. Nelekar? Would you explain our situation so far?”
{***}
Draining his glass, the Chieftain rose to his feet. His eyes passed over the motley crew that Elegys had put together, and lingered for several seconds on the youngest member, an apparent Airbender with a baby Sky Bison. Was this truly the best they could get? He cleared his throat and stepped away from the table, clasping his hands behind his back.
”I have met recently with both the Avatar and her Mother, the old leader of the Water Tribes. I am confident that they do not suspect anything, and our plan can go ahead as planned. I have received word from both Fire Lord Tarek and Earth Queen Meili, and they will be visiting me in the Palace very soon. It is then that we will strike.”
He turned back to look at Elegys as if asking for guidance. Not receiving anything, he continued on.
”When they arrive, we will strike. I have changed the throne room so much that is has become a trap for the pair. The intense cold will stop Tarek from Firebending, and my recent furniture adjustments should severely limit Meili’s Earthbending. The plan will be to ambush and capture the pair while Elegys travels through the Spirit Portal to complete his quest with Vaatu. And that point is when our roles will become even more necessary.”
{***}
The Airbender rose to his feet then and nodded to Nelekar. The older male nodded back and took his seat, turning his eyes on the nomad.
”Once Vaatu is freed, you can be assured that the Avatar will know about it. She will bear down upon us, and I mean to make our stand here in the tribe. The Water Tribe Fleet will form a blockade around the port, stopping any kind of other reinforcements coming in. I will return here as soon as I can to assist you and draw the Avatar, but even with the power I will hold it will not be easy – everybody must be ready for anything, and must not balk when the time comes.”
Elegys turned to Tzekel, looking him straight in the eyes. ”We have organised a special weapon for you, Kan. You own Ice Titan, you might say,” he said, leaving it purposely vague so as not to arouse the suspicions of Gan that there was a spirit in their presence. He looked at Gan next, his face remaining calm. He shot a glance at Daichi too, as if remembering he was there for the first time.
”Gan, Daichi; I want you two to look out for and engage with any allies that the Avatar may bring with her. The army will help you, but I rely on both of you to send word to me if any powerful allies arrive. You’ll need to study the Tribe as a whole to get an idea of the structures and terrain.”
He took a step forwards and grasped the back of his chair, looking around the room slowly.
”We have a few days to prepare; does anybody have any concerns?”

Tzekel-Kan had an interest in the two men who entered after him. He had been waiting for some time before a boy entered the room. Presuming from his robes, another Airbender. Then who he assumed was Gan, the Spirit Hater. He frowned when the man entered. What was to hate about spirits? They were graceful and powerful. Neither of them sat down, but stood around the table. He caught a few glances from both of them, but Tzekel-Kan didn't return them. Then a thought occured to him. There were only two other members here, and there were to be three, the third being a mercenary. Where was he? Tzekel-Kan shrugged to himself. He probably just took the money and ran off.
Soon after, Elegys and Nelekar entered the room. He listened quietly to the plan, and smiled greatly when he was told about his Ice Titan. He was already forming plans in his head of how to use it, based on it's form. Humanoid? Four legged? He was excited. Then it dampened a little when he was told that while he was subdoing the Earth Queen and Fire Lord, Elegys would be taking Vaati. Tzekel-Kan still couldn't voice his plan. He would have to take care of the Earth and Fire Titans, then leave straight for the Spirit World. He wouldn't be leaving anything open, as Gan and Daichi would be also defending. Then Elegys seemed to end his talk, and asked for any concerns. One immediately jumped into his mind. "Yes, I do. What if the enemy forces discover what we are up to and decide to come through the Northern Spirit Portal instead of advancing on the South?"

"It matters not where they attack us from," Gan said in reply to Tzekal's question, "Death awaits those who oppose my being."
In reply to Elegys, Gan said, "Very well Elegys, I will trust your judgement for now and go along with your plan. It matters not for now who decides to side with the avatar, because they too will meet the same fate."

Daichi thought of what was going to happen. It all made sense now. The world would return to its state as it was before the avatar. Daichi sat in the conference room on the ship. Jampa sat by Daichi as they listened. Daichi knew he would have to infiltrate the tribe. He did know some knowledge of the Water Tribes.
"I will inflitrate the Southern Water Tribe. I have some base knowledge of their customs and way of life. It should be easy to gather information." Daichi said. Daichi handed some cabbage to Jampa. "You may think I'm just a crazy kid but this can be done. Bringing back the old order and ending the avatar would be a plus." Daichi stated as he bit into an apple.

Tzekel-Kan looked over at Gan when he rudely answered Tzekel-Kan's question for Elegys, and talked abouthimself as if he was invincible. You puny pathetic human, I could break you before you even knew I was your enemy. He thought to himself towards Gan.
Then he looked at Daichi, who seemed to hang on every word that Elegys spoke, and was very committed to this plan. On top of that, he even offered to leave and gather Intel. Brave.
Tzekel-Kan looked around the room, it seemed as if everyone had there concerns out, which was really only Tzekel-Kan. It was if they thought themselves invincible, especially this Despiser of Spirits. He will get what's coming for him. Tzekel-Kan looked to Elegys, sending a message that he had nothing left to say.

”Do not worry, Kan; I have a plan in place in case we are attacked through the Spirit Portal. My own time within the Spirit World will be short, and then I shall return to help where I am needed. Although, everything should be in hand before that happens.”
He looked to Daichi next, nodding as he spoke. ”Your offer is a kind one, Daichi, but not necessary. Nelekar has several maps of the tribe as well as all of the insider information we might need, as the current Chieftain. If there are any questions you may have about the environment, ask him; I’m sure he will be more than willing to help you.”
Elegys nodded again at Gan’s confident words. He looked slowly around the group, and for the first time since he had met Galaad, he thought they might actually have a chance. ”As soon as the other Leaders arrive, we will strike. Nelekar’s involvement in our plans will remain secret for as long as possible, and Kan will subdue the Fire Lord and Earth Queen. I will assist him, and then I will travel to the Spirit World. Be ready; we leave at dawn.”
Elegys turned on his heel, his flowing robes waving around him. With very deliberate steps, he left the conference room. Once on the other side of the door, he ran a hand over his bald head. Now, it was time.

Gan smiled to himself as Elegys left the room. He knew the next few days would be interesting. Elegys had done well to get the aid of the southern water tribe and Gan knew that this would play a huge role of the destruction of the avatar.
Gan also knew that how well Elegys handled the merging with the Great Dark Spirit Vatuu would play a major role in the destruction of the avatar. This was the main reason for Gan joining Elegys, to watch if he survived himself. Would the darkness completely swallow him, or would he prevail, and create a light in the darkness that would soon come upon him?
Gan chuckled to himself and toward Elegys who was leaving the room, Gan simply said, "Rejoice Elegys, your dream will soon come true..."
