Deadlock [Ryu and Kyorin]

Lau and Chui saw the incoming Earth Kingdom Airship. It was a smaller one and no doubt was meant for speed over any other aspect. The Airship landed on one of the mountains around the town.
"Something I can finally go after?" Lau asked, "I'm seriously getting bored up here."
"No way," Chui, "They're not even close to being a threat yet."
"Besides," Chui continued pointing in the direction of the Airship, "It looks like the Dark Spirits are already taking care of this advance force.

What Chui said was true. Attacking the Earth Kingdom Light Class Zeppelin, Large Dark Birdlike Spirits came, descending upon the soldiers. If the Earth Kingdom Soldiers didn't act soon, the Spirits would tear them to pieces.

The spirits screamed in pain as they were torn apart by the sharp projectiles, but that didn't deter them in the least bit in their attack on the advance forces of the Earth Kingdom Army. Those that could continue to move and fight continued to charge Kyorin and Ryu. Most of the Winged Spirits were easily within killing reach of Ryu and Kyorin, attacking the two with sharp talons.

Chui began heading over to the mountain where the Earth Kingdom Airship had landed. Lau on the other hand decided to head into town to deal with another Earth Kingdom soldier.

From within the Stonewalls, Ryu and Kyorin would begin to hear the agonizing screams of spirits. Though they wouldn't have known it, it was the doing of Chui. Upon seeing that Dark Spirits were practically useless, Chui stepped into the fight. Super heating water particles, Chui created a a highly dense, extremely heated fog of steam. The wall of white encircled the Earth Kingdom's advance forces and was closing in from all direction, boiling insects, small life, and the spirits themselves who were caught in the fog.

Chui herself was in the fog, but she didn't let it touch her. Instead, the fog moved around her as she directed it to Ryu, Kyorin, and the other Earth Kingdom soldiers.
"I realize this isn't really fair," She said to no one in particular, because she was out of earshot of Kyorin and Ryu, "But I have a job I need to get done and no room for error."

With no time to cool down the Steam and into water then into ice to make a wall to protect her from oncoming Spiked Earth Wall, Chui had to roll out of way, narrowly dodging the attack. Upon rolling, Chui noticed she got dirt on her clothes. This angered her a bit.

"You two are so dead." She muttered to herself.

The two Earth Benders lost their Earthern dome with that last attack and now left the two vulnerable to the steam. Chui clasped both of her hands together and began to quickly close the surrounding wall of steam on them. One of the Earth Benders tried to make a platform to avoid the steam, but that wouldn't be enough, Chui would only increase the height of the steam. Upon doing so, Chui also made the fog of steam denser. Sure, she wouldn't be able to into to it, but her opponents would not be able to see out of it. She can simply move and change her position, but the two Earth Benders would have to remain in the same spot. Chui can hide herself while the Earth Benders couldn't

Kyorin

Kyorin stood on his platform, watching for Ryu to come up as well. The steam was closing in on where they were. If Ryu wasn't going to get higher up, that was his wish. Kyorin saw that the steam was steadily rising higher. Probably to catch up with him. Now, he knew that it was only a matter of time before the Steam Bender itself grew tired of bending such a large cloud. And benders could only bend elements within a certain proximity. So, he just rose his platform higher another 3 stories, hoping that would be enough. From this height, He could just rain down hell upon their oppressor, but Ryu was down there. If he killed him, that would be bad in more ways than one.

OOC: From his Height, could Kyorin see Chui? Or does Chui have a dome of steam around her? (basically, does she have a roof of steam above her or no?)

Chui was no longer in the Steamy area as Ryu attempted to bring the Earth Wall down on her and as a result, Chui no longer had to worry about it's intense heat. Using water from the moist ground, Chui created two ice pillars that would momentarily stop the Earth wall, buying her time to successfully get out of the way of it.

Then, Chui would instantly cool the Hot Steam with an immense amount of skill, turning the Water Vapor into liquid then directly into ice. Super cooling the steam around Ryu, Chui began to bury Ryu in a large solid block of ice.

As for Kyorin who was up in the air, Chui used some of the frozen shards of Ice she just created and launched them at the Dai Li agent.

The steam on the battlefield was gone because Chui had supercooled all of the water vapor into ice. As a result, she was clearly able to see what was going on around her.

Chui saw Kyorin high up above turn part of his platform into sand projectiles as well as the using the sand around her feet to slow her down. In order to prevent the sand tentacles from immobilizing her, Chui used water and completely froze the ground around her with ice for the sole sake of buying her time from the sand tentacles. And when Kyorin launched his sand projectiles at Chui, Chui created a wall of ice in front of her.

Chui also kept a look out for Ryu in the middle of all this. The battlefield was cleared of steam and her vision of everything around was clear. Chui saw Ryu wasn't infront of her like he was previously. Quickly checking, he wasn't to the left, right, above her, or behind her.

Underground? She thought as she checked behind herself.

It was at this point that she spotted the shuriken flying from behind her. No time to dodge, Chui used her arm to push the spinning blade away from her. It cut into her arm a bit, but Chui knew it wasn't a big deal. Shurikens definitely hurt, but their cuts were shallow and hardly lethal most of the time.

"Bastard!" Chui swore under her breath. Just because of that cut, the Earth Kingdom soldier wasn't getting away anytime soon.

As Ryu might have noticed, the ground was soaked with water and was much wetter than it should have been. The truth behind this was Chui had been storing the small water droplets in the air into the ground and had been absorbing them into the ground even before the battle started. This was the reason why she was able to pull large quantities of water out of the air- because it wasn't coming from the air, but rather the ground itself.

Ryu was under and had now revealed his general position with his shuriken attack, Chui super heated all of the water in the ground around her general vicinity and caused it all to instantly boil, burning any living thing in the ground.

On top of that, now that Chui knew the one dressed as a Dai Li agent was a sand bender, Chui would keep the sand around her wet. Doing so would make the sand heavier and more clumpier, causing it to flow less freely and be harder to move.

[OOC: Ryu's not posting and I ain't got all the time in the world to wait for him so I'm just going to go and post lol]

Chui was unsure what happened to the Earth Kingdom soldier who went into the ground, but after she had boiled the water in the Earth all around her, Ryu stopped doing anything. That being the case, Chui assumed she got him. All that was left was the Dai Li agent.

Chui was getting annoyed at the agent, who kept up a flurry of sand spikes. Chui's Ice wall managed to protect her, but it was beginning to crack and Chui knew it wouldn't last long.

"Let me show you water bending which you've never seen the likes of!" Chui called out to Kyorin.

That being said, Chui launched her entire Ice Wall at Kyorin. As it would impact Kyorin, Chui super-heated the ice to a ridiculous level, causing it to melt rapidly. In fact, the Ice melted so fast that it completely skipped the liquid phase, turning directly from ice into a super heated steam. So as a result, before the Ice Wall hit Kyorin, it would look like it exploded into a massive cloud of super heated steam.

Chui was caught off guard as the ground below her dissappeared. As a result, confusion overcame her as she began to fall. It took her a few moments to realize what Kyorin had done. Using sand bending on the Earth Beneath her feet, the Dai Li agent completely excavated the ground, creating a giant drop. Chui had never seen this before and was no doubt a very difficult move to pull off.

It would have been a lie to say she wasn't a bit impressed.

Shit! She thought to herself as she fell. She saw the Sand Spikes below her and knew that at this speed, she would become impaled on the spikes before she could conjure up some kind of Ice Platform.

Needing to buy herself time, Chui used her staff and stabbed at the wall of the hole as she fell. The staff tore into the wall and stopped Chui's freefall. At the moment, Chui was hanging on to the staff embedded in the wall above the sand spikes.

With one hand holding onto the staff, Chui used her other hand to quickly bend water out of the ground around her and created a Ice Platform below her. The Ice Platform soon became sturdy enough for a person to stand on and Chui pulled her staff out of the wall and landed on the ice platform which was directly above the sand spikes.

She didn't rest however and knew that this maneuver of hers had taken some time, enough time for Kyorin to make a second attack.
