Days past since the last time Allora had a highlight in her life. Aside from the usual routine she followed each and everyday -- which she was starting to get bored of --, she had been contemplating her life choices, and wondering if it was worth staying in the Southern Water Tribe any longer.
Allora stood before the mirror in her very cold-colored blue room. The only exception were the intricate patterns along the ornate support beams, which were silver, along with her bed sheets, and the carpet. She lightly and expertly placed a dark-purple eyeliner wing design above her eyelid, looking at her reflection after finishing. This would be the new Allora, a defining feature that tells that a 'change' was invoked inside of her, someway, somehow. Today was the day that she would consult her parents that she wanted to go out there and explore, away from the drawl and boring lifestyle she had been living for the past seven years so far.
It would be sad, really, and kind of disappointing. Allora had already progressed so much in her studies here in the Southern Water Tribe, but exploring would probably give her more insight and knowledge on the various bending styles and healing styles all around the world. That, and, in the Northern Water Tribe, healing was a prominent skill that was practiced, now by both men and women.
She descended the steps. The Kheer house was grandiose and a pretty gem to look at, a mix between a manor and a cottage in the noble neighborhood of the tribe. Although small, the house was one of the largest by miles. In the dining room, her parents sat in the warmth of the fireplace while the feasted for breakfast. Breakfast was always a large meal for the Kheer family, as they believed in a relatively healthy lifestyle.
"Mother, father, may I speak to you?" Allora's voice broke the silence between the two, as they directed their attention to her.
The father spoke first. "Yes, dear, what is it?" A man who was in his prime, probably, yet had the wrinkles painted by time.
This was a nerve-wracking moment for Allora. For a few seconds, she stood silent near the banister, considering how she would world this brash demand. But it needed to be done. She wasn't actually progressing as far as she'd like, and if she were to become a master before the age of twenty, then she needed to see the lands and diverse cultures, and visit the Northern Water tribe to further better her healing and waterbending.
Lips inside of her mouth for a moment, she released them and nodded. Taking a seat, she looked to her mother and father. "I would like to leave the Southern Water tribe, and explore the world, to better my studies and knowledge." A quick wish she had. Her father and mother exchanged a look; a look that was worried yet knowing at the same time.
"Oh, darling," Her mother began, clasping her hands together, fingers folding into themselves. "We will allow you to leave, of course!"
Allora's eyes brightened, mouth slightly agape. Her mother was actually allowing to leave? That's a surprise.
"But on conditions, Allora," Her father said, raising a finger. "First, you must have an escort. Second, this escort must be responsible. Third, you must have mastered the waterbending discipline before returning. Is that understood?"
Allora quickly rose and bowed to her parents. She thanked the spirits silently for influencing their decision. She pivoted and practically glided upward, taking hold of the banister so she wouldn't stumble and injure herself. Back in her room, she took a knapsack she had already prepared a few days before, along with a few other essentials and provision. And last, but not least, she equipped her ornate waterskin, filling it up with water she had in a basin next to her bed. She would always have water next to her bed to practice her control, before going to bed. It was like reading for thirty minutes, but vaguely supernatural.
"Jior Ga," She called, and immediately a small polar bear dog cub appeared from other the bed, rolling over on her feet. She took the cub in her arms, smiling. "We'll be leaving now."
She came downstairs again, her parents no longer in the dining room, paid servants clearing the dining table. She hadn't really eaten breakfast, but she never really ate in the mornings. Her cravings were strange and indescribable.
Exiting her home with Jior Ga in arms, she looked around, wondering who would escort her. An anti-social oddball like her didn't know many people, and so she began to walk around, taking turns and passages, looking for a potential escort to come along with her on her adventure.

| Zurok Mia Takamatzu
| Zurok's life returned to normal as well, although she continued to watch some of her various promising "students", including Allora. They were not exactly her students since she did not regularly teach them, but they were students and learners of various crafts, that Zurok would often observe.
Little of any note came up. Two of her sons did briefly visit again, but they came and went as always. They were old enough where such could be expected. Zurok was fine with living alone. Often times she travelled as well, particularly to larger cities where it was easier to play politics.
On one particular day she spent a while gazing out onto the sea, as if her urge and desire to travel had just returned. in a way, it kind of had. however, after a few more minutes of wishful thinking, Zurok resumed her walk.
It was here that she ran back into Allora after a while. She had not properly seen the youngster since the last time she had invited her to her home. Always being one for courtesy and the likes, Zurok greeted her. "It has been a while, child. What brings you to this part of the tribe?" it was a fully curious question, as she had not really encountered Allora here before. Maybe it was just Zurok's timing though. No big deal.

Allora's coal black boots made light noise on the flat snow as she walked around the Southern Water Tribe. Not too far from her neighborhood just yet, she continued to keep surveillance for any potential escorts. Unfortunately, Allora didn't know many people, and she found herself inadvertently window shopping along the way. She had a slight knack for fashion, although she never got too into it. Along with this, she read covers of books and tried to predict their story from what it had placed on the front cover. Unfortunately, she should not waste precious Pieces or Yuans on shopping. Her finances are for essentials only, and not for self-satisfactory gifts.
Her light travel also consisted on watching people and what they did with their daily lives. Some worked in the fish stalls, being the Southern Water Tribe, where the main source of food came from the sea. Others worked in healing huts, restaurants, trade companies, etcetera. None of this really interested Allora very much, and none of these people knew her well enough to actually consider being her escort. Whoever the fates would decide to pair her with must be close though.
Jior Ga, the small polar bear dog cub in her arms reacted to a lone figure in some unknown neighborhood. Allora remembered, although vaguely, coming here before, but it was all around foreign province to her. The lone figure turned out to be Lady Zurok Takamatzu, who she hasn't seen in a few days time. Allora stopped as she greeted her, showing respect.
"My parents have allowed me to travel, but I require a responsible escort." She told Zurok, after greeting her with a 'good day.' She never asked Zurok specifically if she would be her escort, but it's probably implied anyway.

| Zurok Mia Takamatzu
| Zurok Mia Takamatzu was sharply dressed as she always was. Shades of dark blue and purple were her favorite, and under the parka that she wore like most other waterbenders down in the poles, she still had a sharp-looking suit.
as she usually did, she waited calmly for Allora's answer, having a response when she did. "It's interesting the way fate works sometimes..." she said, gazing up at the sky. "perhaps there is more to this world than mere coincidence. "Perhaps I can be of assistance then." she turned back to the younger waterbender. "I am going north later today as well, towards the Earth Kingdom. If you wish to travel, perhaps I can be of assistance in escorting you if that is the will of your parents and satisfies your desire to travel."
"unless of course, you have other plans." she added, always one for leaving other options. "I tend to be a meddlesome woman, some say. Then again, few people understand politics the way I do, which helps only further spread such things against my reputation."
nodding sharply, she shut her mouth for a moment. "But, enough of my incessant rambling." she chuckled. "that is my offer if you wish to take it? I would be happy to help if you do." it was not an attempt to sway the youngster this way or that. Zurok's motivations for doing things varied from person to person and place to place, and not everyone always understood them, but Zurok never let that bother her. She would wait for Allora's answer, and then act accordingly.

The prospect of having Lady Takamatzu as her escort -- which is beyond the definition of competent and responsible, perhaps on a different tier on its own -- allowed Allora to reach peace of mind quickly. Searching in a pool of people she barely knew, and then finding someone she does know, was a major miracle and definitely the work of some kind of spirit or angel of destiny. Being fatalistic, this is probably what Allora believed.
The girl stood there as Zurok went on about how meddlesome she tends to be. Allora already prejudged this, and with Zurok's confirmation, she had hit the bullseye. Going to the Earth Kingdom, an unknown place, was probably a good start. Originally Allora wanted to head north, to the North Pole, where the Northern Water Tribe was situated, but she'd rather not jeopardize Zurok's plans on going wherever she needed to go. Zurok being her escort, Allora's plans could be halted for a bit or so.
"I'd be honored if you were assisting as my escort," She told Zurok. "I've never visited the Earth Kingdom, so I wouldn't mind traveling there for a spell." Her words came out quickly, even if she was a little disappointed. Oh well, at least she'll be able to buy some Earth Kingdom wares, and bring back valuable souvenirs for her parents. Adventure is all about heading to unknown places you're not used to after all. And if anything, she'll be able to learn Waterbending there, if possible. Who knows, crazier things have happened. There's definitely a bunch of water all around the Earth Kingdom.
Allora was a bit worried though. She didn't want to linger in the shadow of Lady Takamatzu for too long. And she also had a question lingering on her tongue and on the brink of her mind. That question being very obvious, which consisted of asking Zurok if she'd mentor her in the art of Waterbending and Healing. Allora wasn't generally interested in anything else, but if introduced to any other kinds of crafts, she'd possibly take it. Anything but bloodbending, though. Allora had morals, and bloodbending was all-around legal and less than inhumane. Being able to control every vein in someone's body, to the point of bending the arteries into submission, was just a monstrous act that held not proper justification. She supposes that's why Waterbending is so lethal, but not many know of the art.
She needed to focus, though, and needed to learn more about other cultures and the world. But especially, she needed to be greedy with her Waterbending training.

| Zurok Mia Takamatzu
| Zurok was always one to believe in fate. perhaps it was fate for this girl to have run into her then. Then again, maybe it was that meddlesome nature of hers that she was so often irrationally judged for that caused her to be so deeply tangled in the threads of fate. Lady Takamatzu certainly believed in spirits toying with fates.
Zurok's final destination was not made known at the moment, but chances are, she'd end up going all the way north anyways sooner or later. It would be on her terms and her schedule of course, but Zurok was not necessarily going out of her way to help Allora--it just happened to be something that fit into her agenda quite well, so she saw no reason to withhold her assistance in this regard.
"Then be your escort I shall!" Zurok smiled sweetly. if there was any hidden meaning or intent behind these words, it was not exactly obvious at all. Besides, it was not like she was trying to use or manipulate Allora. Children had been involved in her plans before, but that was a different story altogether, and had not involved bloodbending at all. Zurok had learned that forbidden art simply for the sake of possessing that knowledge. Rarely, if ever, would she see a reason to ever use it. Healing on the other hand, was something she did as a profession, and something that all but one of her children had picked up quite well. Perhaps the most ironic part about it was that the one child that had not picked up on it as well as the others was Zurok's daughter; all 6 of her sons had learned it well.
"so tell me." she nodded as she began to walk towards the docks, "what are your plans when we begin to head north? Surely you are going up there in search of something or someone, aye?" She figured that Allora had a reason for wanting to leave the tribes, and that she was not telling the older woman everything. Luckily, Zurok was mostly just curious.

Allora's goal was to increase her innate potential for what she's good at. Specifically, healing and managing her defenses. Even though she wasn't too good at the physical aspects of bending -- which is, of course, attacking people with waterbending --, she had in mind to also improve that aspect of her, to her own dismay. It wasn't that much of an encumbering though, though. It'd be a good idea to improve her skill set before she loses her ability to bend entirely. In a metaphorical sense, of course, since once a bender, forever a bender, unless some kind of outside force acts on her directly and distills her bending from her body completely.
Lady Takamatzu had offered and accepted position of escort. Allora was sure that it wasn't entirely out of the goodness of her heart, but probably because it was very convenient for her, and didn't want to leave young Allora traveling alone in that big wide world. Additionally, it was good on Allora. Zurok was competent, and intelligent, and probably knew the outside world much better than her own parents, or any other escort she could find, much more. Therefore, Allora had no qualms with allowing Zurok to escort her wherever. Perhaps her destination for now would be wherever Zurok would go. Maybe she'll stop at the Northern Water Tribe, and study there for a while, and then find a new escort, and continue to travel. Allora wasn't entirely sure just yet, but she's sure to find some kind of solid destination. It gave her leeway, so as they go, she'll decide somehow.
"I'm glad you'll be able to escort me," She told Zurok, looking to her. "I am unsure of my destination as of yet, but I am more or less heading north, to the North Pole, somewhere along the lines. There I am hoping to find a teacher more willing to assist me with my bending." And this was true. She truly wanted to enhance her abilities in the Northern Style, because she enjoyed it so much. She has also heard of intelligible scrolls and books, along with landscapes and such that were in the Northern Water Tribe. She was certain to enjoy her stay there, if they'd have her. She was sure they'd be more than willing to assist her stay, though, due to her parent's status as figure heads in Spiritualism all together.
She was unsure of whatever she was going to face though. She was also not sure if there were going to be major dangers along the way, but with Zurok by her side, it was probably not something she needed to worry too much about. She hopes she'll be able to produce more, and gain more control over her Southern Waterbending discipline. Maybe she'll force herself to use it more often, and be more offensive than defensive. That, she will figure out as she goes along as well.

| Zurok's goals were simple but expansive. She wished to learn; to gain knowledge. Anything that she did not know, she wished to learn, be it in the form of abilities, knowledge, wisdom, or anything in between. This was part of what made Zurok so dangerous--she was smart, but she was also powerful. She knew so many different ways to win that it was very difficult to thwart her--for the moment someone thwarted one of her plans, she was already carrying out a backup plan, making things up on the fly if necessary.
Zurok did not necessarily even know where she was going at the moment either, other than the Earth Kingdom Capital. she had a few ideas, but nothing was set in stone at the moment. Circumstances needed to be learned and reacted to before she could do anything.
"Fate will lead you to your destination sooner or later, child." she smiled reassuringly, not wanting to make any promises just yet. However, there was plenty of time between here and the earth kingdom. It was very close to the north pole anyways. Zurok was not entirely sure why she was so keen to go to the northern water tribe when she still had plenty of mastering over the southern disciplines left to do in Zurok's eyes. In her eyes, the Northern Water Tribe was inferior; they still clung to old traditions that were no longer meaningful at all, and were only just barely starting to loosen up. There were more people there, yes, but the south had its fair share of powerful benders, Zurok being one of them (although she was not one to toot her own horn). However, it was not her place to judge, and so she made no mention of it. Instead, she turned to Allora.
"So... how do you intend to reach the north pole from here? Did you simply need someone to accompany you, or were you looking for someone to take you?" Zurok was quite content with hitching a ride with someone if necessary, or she could man her own boat if that was the sort of escort that Allora needed. She waited to see the younger girl's reaction before making her next move.

| "Due to the nature of my parents' conditions set," Allora began, leisurely retrieving the map inside of her knapsack. "I will require full escort from here to the Northern Water Tribe. I do not think it matters how long it takes us to reach it."
Allora examines the map and quickly jots down a line to her destinations, and sub-destinations the couple would have to travel through on their way there. Unless. . .
"What if we take a ferry?" Allora suggested to Zurok, giving her an inquisitive look.

| "well then..." she cooed, "I shall deliver." Zurok was a (wo)man with a plan, and while she might have seemed chaotic, she was simply skilled at making things up as she went, having calculated all options from the get-go, and she continued to do this as she contemplated anything or everything that could possibly happen during this journey.
"A ferry could take a while," Zurok admitted, "but it is a fully viable and fairly inexpensive option. It would make many stops though, and so might set us back a few days, if that's alright. Which reminds me... do you have money for this excursion at all?" As generous as Zurok was, she couldn't just go ahead and buy things for everyone she met.

| Allora's option was quickly thwarted by the simple fact that Zurok presented. A ferry would indeed take longer due to its frequent stops, although a less arduous and inexpensive option, as she stated. Secretly, Allora would damn her parents if they hadn't given her any kind of currency and financial stability throughout her adventure; luckily, though, Allora's parents were competent and of nobility, so money was never truly a problem.
"Due to my parents' financial state, currency was not a problem in being provided," Allora told Zurok, producing a wallet from her knapsack. "I have more than enough money to provide for myself and bring back souvenirs as requested of me to do so."
Meanwhile, Allora began to think of other ways to get to her destination as quickly as possible. In the end, she stopped thinking. Getting there Zurok's way was possibly the quickest way anyway. "I suppose we can travel whichever way you have in mind, as I am certain it will be much faster."
Allora was now reconsidering her excursion now, though. Something in the back of her mind was telling her that she should further increase her knowledge in the Southern Water Tribe teachings instead of seeking out more training in an art she is far more proficient in. Despite this, though, she had already asked her parents for this, and she won't dishonor them by going back on what she wants. Her mother was happy to finally see her only daughter acquire some ambition, so she wouldn't want to disillusion her either. Allora waited for what Zurok was going to propose, if anything at all. She was prepared for it, anyway. Jior Ga idly played with the snow by Allora's side, occasionally shoving his nose into a small pile he'd create and swipe apart.

| "Lovely." Zurok nodded approvingly, "for while I am generous, I do not think I would be willing to finance an excursion for anyone but myself and perhaps my bloodline. The older woman was polite and generally fairly honest unless she was playing politics. When that happened though, she turned into a very cunning and rather manipulative bastard though, which was far from what she was doing here and now.
The woman paused, musing about a thing or two. "Well... if you are not opposed to being alone with a creepy old witch on a boat for several days at a time, we can take my boat. There's more in these bones than just politics and scheming, after all." She chuckled. She was fairly honest with this as well, and being as affluent as she was, her vessel was no creaky barge. No, she spared no expense in providing herself comfort, and there was room for others, such as if she ever took her family on one of these adventures.
"So that's it then... I can surely accommodate you in the avatar's quarters on my ship if you wish to travel in this method. If not, then we will have to think things through a bit more, or perhaps just settle with the ferry." as odd as it might have sounded to say "Avatar's quarters", she was actually just referring to her daughter here, for Zulera did have things on this ship of Zurok's.

"I am fine with any accommodations you organize f-" Allora's sentence fell short at the brink upon Zurok's referencing of the Avatar. Actually, she didn't think anything of it strangely until she compounded the word 'Avatar' and 'quarters' in the same sentence; actually, to be more precise, she clearly stated the quarters being owned by the Avatar. At this, Allora rose a curious brow, but didn't question it; whatever relation Zurok had with the Avatar was no business for Allora, and she wasn't about to make it her business either, unless Zurok made it her business. So instead, she goes for a quick save and clears her throat, resuming her sentence with: "F-For me."
Allora knelt momentarily to scoop Jior Ga into her arms and allowed his paws to rest outside of her closed arms, waiting for Zurok to lead the way. The Avatar was the least of Allora's worries. All she wanted was to better herself, in both the bending discipline she was born into, and as a person, by exploring the world and learning more. She wonders how many libraries she'll be able to visit one her journey. Allora was a keen reader with a sharp eye for detail; no matter the kind of literature she's sifting through, even if by skimming, she won't miss a beat. You could call it a sort of super power.

| Zurok had a keen eye for detail of any kind, be it literary, physical, metaphorical, spiritual, or anything else in between. She noticed Allora's stutter, and was therefore stricken as curious because of it. "Is that alright then?" she asked, "you seem hesitant or confused about something." It did not necessarily ensure that Zurok would be able to resolve the problem, but she could at least give it a shot. Let it not be said that Zurok was not a friendly woman.
most of Zurok's "secrets" were simply things that she did not feel the need to go tell on the mountain or something. She was not the type of person to boast about having given birth to the latest incarnation of the Avatar. Much to Zulera's pleasure, Zurok had always treated her as a completely normal individual, and subjected her to the same things she subjected her other children too. On a similar note, Zurok was the primary reason that all 7 of her children, the avatar included, were covered with so many elaborate tribal tattoos that told stories of their lives. Zulera might have been a wild and free-spirited creature, but she was also very strong and smart, both in the arts of the 4 bending disciplines, but also in general knowledge. There was a reason she had lasted 30 years doing the things she did.
"if you are okay with it... follow me." Zurok began walking at a brisk pace towards the port, where her ship was docked. It was small, but certainly not of anything short of the best quality. Politics paid well if you knew how to work the system after all. After a bit of inventorying and investigation, she found all systems ready to go, and so invited Allora abroad with her.

Unfortunately for Allora, she didn't have the luxury of having multitudes of perspicacious abilities like Zurok. Her only true super power was being able to read at such speeds that they couldn't even be considered average for her age; average for anyone, really. Allora once read an entire encyclopedia for leisure reading, mainly because she'd already finished all her other books in that seven foot shelf in her room. It's not like she did anything else, after all. The girl's entire life was as droning as the motor engine of a boat on water; it was always the same sound over and over. Wake up, morning ritual, breakfast, train, read, sleep; rinse and repeat, constantly, without ever missing a beat. But now things would be different, as she had the chance to change all of that with the choices she'd make on this journey.
"There's no trouble at all," Allora replied evenly, following Zurok with her own kind of pace, not matching her briskness at all. Allora wasn't in any rush to end her journey short and quickly. But she respected Zurok's wanting to get things done as soon as possible, so she quickened herself. Boarding the boat upon Zurok's permission, she surveyed the vessel and awaited being led to her temporary quarters. She wondered just what kind of trinkets the Avatar had on this ship. . . Not like she'd go around snooping that is. Who knows.

| "very well then. Feel free to make yourself comfortable, and we shall begin our voyage shortly." She went to go tend to certain things and check the status and condition of her belongings and her boat itself, before she began to use her own waterbending to push the boat out of port and off towards the seas. Small as the woman was, Zurok Takamatzu was a viciously powerful waterbender, being able to control all but the most powerful forces of water to bend to her will.
Allora's new quarters had very clear imagery of belonging to a woman named Zulera Joanna Tallarico. trinkets from the four nations adorned the shelves, and images and sketches adorned the walls. surely there were many stories within these artifacts, but also one of the most prominent things that stood out was an image of two women and 6 men. Zurok stood at the forefront, clearly the matriarch of this clan, while a short, muscular woman recognizable to some as the avatar was standing among them. the six men all looked slightly younger than the women, but there was clearly family resemblance--these men were siblings, and that woman was their sister. This was Zurok's family, with all of her children. Oddly, however a father figure seemed completely absent, with no evidence of who he was or what he might have been like to be found in this room. Still... it was clear that whoever this Zulera woman was, that she had led a very long and storied life.

Allora managed to inconspicuously analyzed almost everything in the room she was introduced to. She noted various things: the trinkets, the entire flow of the room, and even the family picture. She didn't say anything, opting to remain quiet and offering a quiet nod to Zurok for the room. She felt slightly off, though, as if there was some kind of lingering anarchy in the room. She doubts the Avatar is the type for iniquity, though; last she read, the Avatar was the paradigm of balance and goodness in the world. No way would chaos follow in her wake.
When Zurok would leave, Allora wouldn't touch the bed. Instead, Allora would sit cross-legged on the floor and meditate. This was her version of sleep-away-from-sleep, aligning her inner chakras and strengthening her spirit. It was kind of strange, but she preferred it nonetheless. Jior Ga appeared to join her, leaning back on his hind legs and closing his beady eyes, focusing inward himself as well. This duo is weird.

| If there was any contest for "most mysterious individual", Zulera would win it by a landslide. There was no telling what she would do or where she would be, only that if there was chaos, she was usually behind it, for good or for evil. She was old enough to make her own decisions, and Zurok had no interest in bossing her around anyways.
Zurok did not mind the solitude, and so she continued to stay on the top deck to pilot the ship. Allora did not seem like a very exciting individual, which was quite a distant departure from her daughter, Avatar Zulera. On the other hand, she was fine with that, because that meant that much less maintenance for her to worry about. It was late afternoon by this time, and Zurok began her path heading in a northwesterly direction, as to avoid hitting land too soon at one of the air temples or the southern Earth Kingdom. The latter in particular was an exotic place that held many memories of Zulera's legacy, although she had been there many times already.

Allora's meditative process allowed her to attune herself to the seismic forces of the universe. Or something mythical along those lines, but we assure you that young Allora is in no way connecting nor crossing into the spirit world ethereally. Instead, she appears to be heightening her senses via meditation, a practice she takes on once a day, for at least ten minutes. Sometimes, though, her meditation takes a turn on the wrong path, and she wastes away hours in a single position, without moving an inch. Perhaps this was, in fact, an attempt to cross over into the realm of spirits, or perhaps this was a way to acquire more control over her Water Bending.
Allora was now detached from the material plane. From here on out she would feel nothing; she wouldn't feel the turn of the boat, nor the crash of the surf or the sifting of waves. She wouldn't even feel an oncoming storm at this point, which she's sure Zurok would be able to handle with some semblance of ease. Indeed Allora wasn't an exciting individual, yet. She wanted to change that about herself. She was tired of being so bland and paper-white. She needed some engravings on her blank pages.

| It was one thing to know that one had a problem, but when one did nothing to go out and fix it, how could they expect change? Zurok knew that the girl was clearly seeking some kind of excitement in her life to make it and herself more interesting, but if it was just a quest for more knowledge, then she was already just doing the same old things. If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always gotten.
Zurok grinned almost maliciously as she sailed right into the storm. The boat rocked a bit this way and that, but Zurok's powerful control over waterbending, and thus the waves, kept them from flipping or sinking. It was one thing that she was skilled at manipulating water, but Zurok's spirituality levels were through the roof, and she was one of a very few select mortals that had managed to cross over into the spirit world, more than once. It was a very difficult thing to do, but Zurok was not one to let trivial things like "difficulty" ever deter her. It was why she was right in the eye of the storm now...

Wait, there was an actual storm happening? Well, if there is/was, then Allora sure as heck didn't notice nor budge an inch, although she likely tossed around to and fro as the boat bobbed violently. The undulation as the crests rose and widened, then crashed and flattened, must've been enough to knock her back to her senses. Jolting awake was not something Allora enjoyed happening to her, but when she heard the sharp clap of thunder and blitz of lightning, she knew something wasn't right.
Allora dashed to the deck and witnessed the roaring waves and pelting rains. "Well this was not accounted for," She yelled over the rain. "Would you like me to assist you!?"

| Zurok hardly seemed to notice the younger girl's presence. "If you want, dear..." she called out, "just try not to kill yourself or rock the boat too much." She seemed to be taking an enjoyment in watching the winds and the rains, while she controlled and calmed the waves with the skill of a true waterbending master. Then again, this was the woman who had given birth to the Avatar, and she definitely had skills to back herself up, even if some avatar-level skills were unreachable.
she was going to ride out the storm, sailing right through it instead of around it. Despite being a professional politician and even dressing the part, Zurok was at home around the water, and she was an expert swimmer even in that finery. regardless of how her travelling companion might have felt, Zurok was undeterred.

| Allora took this chance to truly test her mettle against nature. She may not have been a master, and she may not be able to do much, but she's definitely not someone who doesn't try before she gives in. Using everything she's learned, her arm and leg movements were precise, despite herself. Using the Water Bendings true nature, changing the tides and force against the enemy, she attempted to pave a quicker, sleeker, and more manageable pathway in the sea. Assisting Zurok, with her by her side, this definitely wouldn't be impossible. To maintain her footing, Allora was casting away rain around her feet in a diameter of five inches, so she wouldn't slip.
Allora's movements would shift here and there, and she wondered if her abilities were even helping. Why was she helping anyway, if Zurok could handle this herself? She kept herself and her mind level-headed. She was doing this for the thrill, and because she wanted to better her Water Bending. Someday, she'll achieve Zurok's level. Maybe.

| The methods behind Zurok's madness were not always easy to figure out. In fact, more often than not... they weren't. She could have just as easily sailed around that storm and might have only run into a little rain. However, people who led easy lives led boring ones, as she had learned from experience. People who had never had a hardship in live had not truly lived. Heck, if she didn't have valuables on this ship, she might have convinced herself to let them capsize, and take the adventure from there. It wouldn't be the first time, anyways.
But, whatever the case, she led them through the storm, and once out of the eye of it, it began to subside, even though the two ladies would have their clothes clinging to their bodies from being sopping wet. Zurok did not seem to mind this at all.

Allora pouted at the parting clouds and clearing skies as the two ladies escaped the storm virtually unscathed. Waving her arms in an outward-circular motion, she extracted all the sodden liquid from her clothes and self and directed the liquid back into the sea as a well-maintained snake. She exhaled and folded her arms for a bit, before opting to assist in helping the sloop travel at a more considerable pace. Meditating alone isn't going to help her excel at Water Bending, she needs hands-on form-practice as well.
For a while, the seas are calm. Sea gulls squawk from above and glide in the visage of the blaring sun. The waves lap and fall into each other, the soothing sound and white noise able to lull anyone to sleep. However, the calm is soon broken by an ominous and dauntingly large figure slithering through under the boat. A few seconds later, the wave part and create a mini-spout of water, revealing a Dragonic Serpent of epic proportions. A leviathan, if you will. Allora's eye went wide with alarming fear as she cringed her teeth at Zurok. "What will we do, Lady Takamatzu?" For once Allora's voice is seeping with caution and fear, the monotone feared right out of her.
The leviathan trills and roars, opening it gaping mouth. Its green and red scales and purple slit eyes harden as it dives in for the kill. The ferocity that was emitting from this wondrous and grandiose beast is not something a simple bender could quell, perhaps. Its power is likely too great, but perhaps these two ladies could do something about it. Certainly, this isn't an obstacle that can't be prevailed.
