| Despite everything, Zurok did not even pull the water out of her clothes. the skies were still dark and a bit cloudy, but they were out of the storm, as evening prepared to encroach upon them. It was late, but the sun was still in the sky and had not yet disappeared into its western slumber. Zurok enjoyed the evening, feeling ever so empowered by the moon and the nighttime, for they did enhance a waterbender's power. But, that was still a few hours away, after all.
After a while though, there was another noise, and Zurok recognized it. The sea was filled with monsters, but that was just it--they were surrounded by water. Zurok had an edge just because of that. Well, that and 51 years of experience certainly helped. Teaching and learning from the avatar certainly didn't look too bad on her résumé either.
"we'll do the same thing I always do when confronted with danger," she grinned, still dripping with water. suddenly, this seemed viable, but she'd worry about it later. "we stare it straight in the eye and make it run off. Force is optional, but encouraged." with this, she formed two massive swathes of water from the sea, hardening them into a solid iceberg in front of them and right in the monster's path. It slammed into it with considerable force, throwing ice chunks everywhere, and it slipped back beneath the waves.
"stay wary, child. that might not be the end of it." or maybe it would be. sometimes they struck back, other times, they would be on their way.

As Zurok managed to quell the beast rather quickly, Allora seemed to visibly calm as the serpent backed down and fled beneath the lapping waves. She inhaled and exhaled tersely before regaining her stolid composure. She glanced at Zurok askance, inwardly amazed at how a middle-aged woman managed to send that beast running back to its mother. Avatar Zulera must be a truly fearsome Water bender if she has Zurok for a mother.
Allora nodded after a few moments and resumed her elegant Water bending form and helping the boat onward. She wasn't sure if that beast was returning, and quite frankly, she was absolutely daunted. But as sharp as Allora is, she noticed that losing face isn't going to help in the face of danger any time soon, no matter how large a feat she'd have to go through in the future, whenever that is.
The sound of the waves again filled her ears until either of them makes conversation. But deep down below, a thicker shadow was leering. . .

| Part of the reason Zurok was so respected came from her own maturity, age, and her ability to remain so polite and friendly to people, but also because she was, for lack of better terms... intelligent, and extremely powerful. Her petite stature of 5'2" was hardly an indicator of her strength. She even had considerable physical strength for a middle-aged woman (and she aged very well too--she was certainly not hard on the eyes), but her real strength was from waterbending. She was truly one of the grandmasters of the art, which in turn meant that Avatar Zulera had one of the best waterbending teachers in the world. Actually... Zurok had done many things for Zulera, including etching the girl's life story onto her back. the Avatar had an elaborate collection of tattoos on her thighs, back, arms, and hands.
Unlike the younger girl, however, Zurok was not daunted at all by what had happened, and the way she was continuing to steer the boat almost made it seem like she was acting as if nothing had happened. It was true that one did not fight a monster like that every day, but on the other hand, Zurok had done it numerous times before, and so had no qualms with doing it again a few more times in her life.
"onward." she indicated, "there is more travelling to be done yet before we reach our first stop..." they had navigated through the southern air nomad islands, but it'd be another day before they reached an earth kingdom port where they could potentially rest and/or resupply.

Allora had been using her arms as oars, helping Zurok guide the waters to get them through the ocean. Even though Zurok didn't particularly need the help, Allora definitely does. She needs to learn, one way or another, even if it's vicariously through a true grandmaster with sufficient experience under her belt. She'd, on occasion, horizontally divide her arms from each other, along with her feet, at mid-shoulder length. She was still rough, but getting there, learning gradually and consistently. Sometimes she could be seen mimicking Zurok's movements.
When they had passed the Air nomadic islands, she'd look at their features askance, and afterwards focused on her form once more.
"In your life time, how many sea monsters have you dealt with, Lady Takamatzu?" She inquires, not being all too bland for once.

| Eventually, Zurok rid herself and her clothing of the water that had congregated there both from the leviathan and from the storm. she felt much better, but otherwise continued on as if nothing had happened. Few things fazed Zurok Takamatzu anymore. She seemed to always have a way of remaining in good control of a situation.
Their voyage continued in mostly silence, which the older woman was fine with, although soon she would likely anchor down and sleep herself. She was only human and needed her rest as well. In the menatime though, she found herself being asked a rather curious question.
"I have not kept count," she answered, "but I believe the number is more than two dozen. It did not help that my daughter would go looking for trouble. not all of the monsters of the sea are hostile either." Even before having Zulera (or any of her children), Zurok's childhood was a very storied one as well. even the things she was doing at Allora's age could fill a good few books.

Unfortunately for Allora, nothing she'd done in her life time could fill up an entire novel. Perhaps a thin novella, likely, but nothing on the larger scale of the reading spectrum. However, Allora knew that if she ever had anyone to idolize as a magnificent Water bender, they'd have to be Zurok. But she's never going to say that. Allora usually speaks her mind very little, and when she does, it must be impressionable from her to the targeted party.
She continued to wave her arms, mimicking the laps and turns of the ocean. She now understood why the Water benders originally learned Water bending from the Moon and Ocean spirits, Tui and La. To think it was this 'simple.' But Allora knew that there were other contemporary move-sets she's yet to learn, and she's planning on learning all she can about Water bending.
Allora didn't respond to Zurok, then. She remained quiet and allowed the sound of the sea to fill her ears as usual. She continued to bend, and the journey seemed to calm from any past tension.

| Zurok was the type of woman who was more than willing to help those who helped themselves, or those who were willing to speak to her about it. She had shared some of her secrets and talents with the world, for she saw no purpose in holing them up for herself. One day, after all, she would die, and if she died without sharing any of her wisdom or knowledge, then she had definitely lived a very empty life. Luckily, the opposite was true instead. If Allora wanted to be taught by a master... she was riding in the same boat with literally, one of the best the world had to offer.
Sure there might have been some secrets she did not share, such as the meaning of some of the symbols and lines that she had inked onto the avatar's back and arms, but that was more a religious and spiritual thing than anything, and they considered such things sacred and thus did not speak much of them outside of certain places. Other lines and symbols, however, told something of the woman's life story. The life of Avatar Zulera could be interpretted through the tattoos that ran across her back, shoulders, upper arms, hands, and upper thighs. Most of her chest and stomach were uninked (except up near her collarbones), as were her feet, her legs below the mid-thigh, her face, and her arms near the elbows. She wore enough clothing (including armored gloves over her hands) that if you saw her dressed, there would be no way to tell she was tattooed at all. Perhaps a bit hypocritically, Zurok's own body was free from these markings, even if she was so intent on marking her daughter with them.
soon, the woman cast out the anchor, essentially freezing them in place for the night. The skies were mostly clear, the seas were calm, and great distance had been put between them and the leviathan for now. she needed rest though, and did not want to pilot her ship while exhausted. "I am turning in for the evening, child." she informed her younger companion, "feel free to do as you please in the meantime, provided you keep a sound judgment." she didn't think the kid would do anything stupid, and if she did... well, Zurok had no qualms against throwing her overboard or something. But she highly doubted that was probable, and so instead, she retired to her quarters for the night.

Allora sagely nodded to Zurok, unopposed to her decision for rest. Who was she to remark on Zurok's decisions anyway? She chose Zurok as her escort because Allora considered her a sound and wise woman, not known to make brash decisions, to her knowledge and understanding. Therefore she remained at the deck while Zurok had gone to sleep, if at all. She wouldn't pry nor felt the need to pry on what the woman does during her times alone, in her own quarters. Instead Allora turned and stared outward to the torpor of the sea before her. She wonders if anyone would ever besmirch such a fine, delicate beauty, with enough power to thrown asunder whole continents.
Looking upward, it was a full moon. Allora always enjoyed full moons, and not because she was inherently a Water bender. No, she enjoyed full moons because of their confounding light; it's said in legend that the moon not only embroils those lost during the night, but guides them in the most unsuspecting ways. And the moon being able to shift the tides and move the sea was impressive, to say the least. There were not words to describe it. The moon was the only thing shedding light, allowing the clear view of the stars amongst the clear sky. Allora gave a quizzical expression as to why the ocean wasn't romping with the moon's gaze, though.
The young girl disregarded whatever notion she had in mind and opted to practice her Water bending some more. Her arms were sore from assisting Zurok in handling the boat's pathways, but she felt that she could get in a bit more training before clocking out. Allora is an astute girl, with mental stamina that will only become stronger and more fortified. She presented herself before the sea, and took a stance; a stance that will allow her to cause a small wave with her Water bending. A few swift, elegant movements later, and she produced this wave properly, without too much effort. She looks back now, and then turns, upsetting the sea and tossing waves to the side of the boat, but away from it.
"I think that may be enough for now," She tells herself, frowning. Any more clamor and she'll wake up Zurok, who she assumes won't be too pleased. It's not like her movements were very noisy anyway. Stifling a yawn, she walks down to the quarters and enters Avatar Zulera's room, with a sleeping Jior Ga at the foot of her bed. Ever since she rescued the pup, he'd always sleep as near to her as possible. Removing her Inuit garb, she slowly embeds her aching body into the bed, and fell soundly to sleep after a few minutes.

| Zurok's sleeping patterns were somewhat sporadic during times like these, given the strength of the moon and that she was surrounded by water. If anything, these two things made her feel energized, and with the woman on the seas like this, she was theoretically unstoppable, given her strength. There were rumors that the woman was a bloodbender, no less, but at the same time, no one dared to prove it, nor did Zurok seem very interested in the idea of that kind of manipulation. Then again, subtlety was one of her strong points.
after a few hours, which in turn put them deep into the night, Zurok emerged, although did not raise the anchor just yet. She first evaluated her surroundings, gauging what needed to be done before making sure everything in order. As the younger girl slept, Zurok slowly carried them onward, using the power of the full moon to her advantage to push them along faster. The woman had near perfect control, and so the boat hardly even rocked as she piloted it forward, allowing the younger waterbender to sleep silently.
When morning came, however, they were anchored again and Zurok was below deck. She preferred staying up later and sleeping later because of the power and connection she had with nighttime and the moon. If Allora needed anything, there was a note on her door that stated where Zurok was and that all she would need to do was knock. For the most part though, the seas were silent, and so was the boat.

| One thing Zurok will find pleasant about Allora is that she's not the kind of girl to cause tumuluaries, and if she ever did, it'd be because something impressionable must be occurring that could endanger her life, or the lives of others. Though this really wasn't something that anyone needed to guess. After all, young Allora was as taciturn as they come, reserved to keeping to herself and her studies than socialize.
When the sun blared through Avatar Zulera's cabin window and onto Allora's face, this was her cue to awaken. She was both a deep sleeper, and a light sleeper; when the light hit Allora's face, she knew that it was time to wake up. And so she did, leaving Jior Ga to continue snoozing. The Polar Bear cub, despite his age, was perspicacious to danger, and if there were, he'd jump to action; or, at least he'd cower in fear and hope a miracle would happen.
Allora dons her clothing and brushes out her nappy hair, noticing that the winged eyeliner on her eyelids were still intact. She's happy that this kind of cosmetic didn't rub off easily, something she was prepared for, due to being around water her entire life.
Allora wouldn't notice the change and advancement Zurok had placed them at. She didn't assume nor did she question it. Instead, she explored the quarters and made her way into wherever there was a kitchen to catch breakfast. After morning meditation and sating her stomach, she'd be off to practice her Water bending, taking advantage being out at sea where the superfluous of water was very true, and very palpable.

| Soon however, they did actually hit land. This was right near the fringes of the foggy swamps, and unfortunately, the nearest actual port was a few days north of here given the sometimes dangerous waters. They had otherwise thus made pretty good progress, managing to skirt the Southern Air Nomad lands completely. however... this led them to a dilemma.
"The Foggy Swamps lie ahead," she chirped, "and while I can lead us to a more civilized village on the other side... it would require us to traverse the swamps. I am simply asking how you feel on the matter." This was actually a lie, but in truth, there were lessons to be learned from the Foggy Swamp itself, even if they didn't cross paths with any of its... erm, unusual... inhabitants. There were many reasons why Zurok Mia Takamatzu was a Waterbending Master... and one of them was that she did not neglect any style of waterbending. Besides... this was the birthplace of plantbending, which was a very useful skill in some cases. Hopefully the younger girl would be interested... and perhaps wouldn't mind getting a little bit dirty.

| Allora felt Zurok lead the boat into land, porting it near the fringes of the Foggy Swamp. She darted her eyes about, not leaving anything to cursory detail. A slight crease connected her forehead and bridge of her nose -- reminiscent to a rimple -- can be seen as her facial expression, but that likely due to the murky musk of the swamps themselves. Regardless of the otherworldly croaks of the swamp and cacophony of sounds that filled her ears, she didn't complain.
"I suppose we have no choice then," She responded, her voice not betraying her disdain for grime and decadence. "If it is something that we must do then I hold no objections."

| Zurok nodded at the younger waterbender, as she glanced at the landscape ahead of them. Then, without much else thought to it, she dropped her pants, removed her shirt, and slipped out of her shoes, packing all of her clothes away till she was in her smalls. "There will be mud and dirt and other such things," Zurok was already kind of curling her toes in it, "but you can feel free to stay clothed or unclothed at whatever level you wish. You can keep something on your feet if you don't like the mud, but I do recommend disrobing to prevent getting too hot or getting all muddy. Either way... just follow me."
She'd wait if the younger girl did agree to strip, but otherwise was going to lead into the swamps. The ground was a bit muddy, but it was traversible, and would be fairly easy for the first little bit, but the humidity and muddiness would increase. Hopefully her younger companion would not mind... but whatever the case, Zurok had her ears perked in case she had any questions...

Allora's eyes visibly widened when she saw Zurok strip down to a minimum, whatever that was. At first she was dumbfounded at how barbaric this woman could be, but soon saw the practicality in it. The swamps were indeed heavily murky, muddy, and possibly soon, very muggy. Allora mulled it over for a moment, her facial expression not betraying this thought process, and quickly removed her inuit, leaving her in only a Southern-Water Tribe traditional tank top, her shoes, and her pants.
Afterwards Allora followed suit with that much stripped off, having opted to tying her hair in a pony tail and leaving Jior Ga behind. She anticipated that bringing Jior Ga along wouldn't be beneficial. Allora almost questioned why they didn't just circumvent the swamps another way, but she had read in many books about the Foggy Swamps being the birth place of plant bending, something she would never be averse to learning more of, hands on.
She kept in step with Zurok along the way, despite how contemptuous she felt toward all the natural grime and muck. Hopefully she'll learn to appreciate the earth in its natural splendor soon enough, though.

| If she had had the time, Zurok might have fashioned herself a leaf skirt or something, which would be even more ideal given the humid situation. It was definitely a matter of practicality. Besides... the only ones that had the potential of seeing them out here would be the swamp people, who were more likely to laugh at them for being overdressed than underdressed.
Allora might have noticed that even in pants and a tanktop, she'd still be getting a bit hot... or at least humid. It wasn't so much that this place would eat you alive as much as it was that clothing would stick to your body uncomfortably. Noticing this, Zurok mentioned it. "you know," she said gently, without being sarcastic or trying to mock, "no one is going to laugh if you stripped to my level... it's a matter of simplicity and comfort more than anything else." Zurok had stayed mostly clean, though there were small beads of water on her forehead and shoulders, and her feet were muddy. perhaps Allora's shoes wouldn't be a problem if she wanted to keep those though.
"We're getting closer though... and obviously your state of dress is not my choice to make," Zurok chuckled. In a way she *was* in fact encouraging the girl to strip to her underwear, but was thinking about the girl's comfort rather than anything less-than-savory.

As they went through the swamps, Allora felt the dampness of water on her skin, which was mostly from her own body than the swamps themselves. Not only that, but she did indeed feel the humidity, which was augmenting the stickiness and disgusting feeling of feeling sweaty overall. Back in the Southern-water Tribe, Allora didn't have to worry about sweat as much as she did now. The Water benders in these lands were certainly a physical force to be reckoned with.
Panting, Allora considered Zurok's advice. Overall, she was right. However, Allora wasn't particularly comfortable with her body to just remove the amenities of clothing. Either way, if she was going to defend herself from a potential heat stroke and not cause hindrance to the two, then she needed to make peace with it. She removed her over-clothing -- including her shoes and socks -- and remained in her underwear, which was as practical as it may, though her stretch-marks were there.
Allora put her insecurities at the back of her mind, and continued to follow Zurok through the swamps, hoping she'd learn something from this excursion.

| Zurok might have still been something of a looker even at her age, but she was far too mature to go judging people based on their physical appearance, something that people only had minimal control over. When the younger girl undress, Zurok did wait for her of course out of courtesy, though was glancing around as if to try and tell where they were.
She did let Allora know that if she didn't like mud squishing between her toes, that the girl could put her shoes and/or socks back on and it wouldn't be a big deal. it wasn't like they were about to get knee-deep in muck or anything; just that the ground here was soft from the humidity.
Otherwise, regardless of the girl's decision in that regard, Zurok led onward, pausing only once to sniff the air. "we are getting close..." she smiled. "I do think you will like what I have in store for you if we are where I think we are..." she only said it that way because she didn't want to be so absolute. Otherwise, the two women would notice a "fresh" smell in the air, which was what Zurok was taking as her sign.

Allora could smell the promise of instruction and learning from the swamp itself. During their trip deeper and deeper into the swamps, Allora would often stop just a few paces behind the water-bending master to analyze the various odd plants that grew and thrived in the humidity of the swamps. She never touched them, however, or got too close, in fear of being spritzed or intoxicated by their protective reflexes. She was getting used to the mud at the soles of her feet and between her fingers, reminiscent of the Southern-water tribes snow that blanketed the continent for the years on end.
The promise Allora smelled, to her best guess, was likely manure. Unfortunately, all Allora could do was follow, since she wasn't particular sure yet, and she was sure to find out. Zurok was definitely keeping her promise, Allora could feel it. . . Or maybe she was trusting the woman a bit too much.

| After a little more walking, they came into a small clearing, except that it was... well, for lack of a better word... *magnificent*. It was not the heart of the swamp, per se, but it almost seemed like a spiritual little haven, given that it almost seemed "maintained".
There was a little pool of water, as if to allow them to wash their feet, for the ground here did not seem as muddy (but was still dirt). there was gravel around them past the pool, and so after Zurok dipped her feet in and 'dried them off' (by bending the water off of them), she actually put her socks and shoes back on, even if she was otherwise still in her underwear. "if your feet can't handle potentially sharp rocks..." she chuckled, "don't hesitate to put your socks or shoes back on." If she didn't want to though, no big deal, but the rocks would be a lot harsher on their tender soles than the squishy mud had been.
But why step on the rocks at all? well... in front of them was a large tree surrounded by a magnificent pool of water that was teeming with plants. This place was slightly reminiscent of the spirit oasis, but in truth it was just a nice meditation/training place that Zurok had visited before. "This..." she smiled at the younger girl, "is what I was looking for." she'd let Allora ask questions if she wanted, because this was where she'd be teaching the girl some styles and tricks--provided she was willing, of course.

| Allora could practically feel the quaking -- yet composed -- sensation of where Zurok had led her. She could hear the wildlife, the patter of liquids and the flowing streams, along with many other natural sounds. The xysts that had surpassed and surmounted were worth the marvelous and awesome sight before them now, and Allora felt that she wasn't going to be disappointed with the reason as to why Zurok decided to detour them to here.
Taking Zurok's advice and practically imitating her motions, she placed her socks back on, and even her shoes after cleansing her feet in the pool and bending the excess water away afterwards. Allora wasn't fond of sharp objects poking at her feet, and she wasn't looking to catching an infectious disease by having wounds and lacerations on the soles of them either.
Allora waited patiently, taking the sights in and noticing the hanging trees with superfluous leaves, which seemed to be mushy at the touch, but she didn't dare do that. She centered her attention on Zurok, not giving a single peep as she waited for the woman to reveal as to why they're here. Allora simply just didn't have any questions to ask, unfortunately, since she caught on pretty quickly. After all, it made no sense to her at first having to span through the swamps if they could get to their destination much quicker any other way. This seemed all too deliberate to her.

| Zurok watched and waited for Allora too approach, simply to ensure that the girl was ready to focus, rather than out of some perverse want of checking her out in her underwear, despite it being little more than a small top that pretty much only covered her breasts and a small pair of bottoms that covered her privates (but still bared most of her legs) and had a little piece of cloth in front for slightly additional modesty. To Zurok, underwear was underwear. No big deal. After they both had looked around one more time though, Zurok began.
"Tell me, child..." she said softly, "have you ever been able to manipulate the water inside of plant life? Have you moved the leaves or vines to your will?" She had expected that the younger girl did not, but this was simply how Zurok began to explain what she was about to teach. the swamps were the easiest place to begin learning plantbending simply because of the humidity and said plants were usually so concentrated with water that it made it look easy.
"because either way... this is what we are here for... focus on your target, moving your hands in such a way to guide the water thta resides in side the green husks..." she demonstrated by moving her arms very intricately and making a swathe of vines coil up and then uncoil. If they were able to learn how to move the plants, Zurok could move onto a more advanced technique, such as drawing water from them or whatnot. She'd take it however slow or fast Allora needed though--Zurok wasn't here to learn for herself--she was here to teach.

Allora had indeed approached, and by now the young girl wasn't too worried about Zurok taking advantage of her in any way. She's learned to trust Zurok, which probably wasn't the best idea if she were someone else, but for now the woman had gained her trust, and her respect much before that. Allora was listening to Zurok carefully, and the question she posed rang odd to Allora. All her years she has been living in the Southern-water tribe, where trees and leaves were near to impossible to grow. It wasn't because the lands weren't inhabitable, just the snow would kill all plant life.
However here and now Allora had the opportunity to learn something she had read of before, and could potentially do with proper instruction. Zurok's didactic approach stuck to Allora as she was listening to her lecture, paying close attention, although already generally knowing what she was speaking about -- which was good, because that was necessary, comprehension, then doing.
Allora carefully watched Zurok's intricate movement in coiling and uncoiling the plant, and Allora struck a pose similar, if not more rigid, than Zurok's. Allora felt this was a kind of offensive technique, so her defensive proclivity stuck to her at first. She relaxed herself and her muscles, making herself know she wasn't going to be attacking anything -- at least nothing she wasn't expecting. And so the young girl moved lambently, attempting to mimic Zurok's movements, coiling and uncoiling a plant. She grasped it pretty quickly, although obviously she had some trouble at first.

| As a healer, it wasn't like Zurok hadn't seen a thousand unclothed bodies already, many of which had even less than what little this girl had on right now. To her this had been a matter of comfort against the thick humidity rather than any perverted desire. She probably actually would have just gone naked if it was just her. The Swamp folks did it all the time.
But of course, Zurok's mind wasn't even on the lack of clothing at all, but rather, her student's reactions and observations. Obviously she had a sound understanding that plants in the actual tribes proper were minimal, if extant at all. Having spent years learning this herself, she understood the best ways of teaching as well--speaking of and explaining what they were trying to do was an important introduction, followed by a demonstration, and then perhaps an explanation of what she had just done.
Zurok did explain that the younger girl was being a bit too rigid, and that water was meant to flow, even with solids such as plant matter. She did not say anything at first, but the girl did appear to have trouble. "Here..." she explained sweetly, standing behind her, "loose up these muscles... and move just a little bit this way... and *then* try it..." she had placed her hands on Allora's thighs and arms a few times during this in order to help shift the girl into the right position, but these were just the motions of a teacher. Hopefully that kind of touching didn't make the younger girl uncomfortable.
She did notice improvement after that though. "Excellent." she smirked. "now... try and take the pose I helped you take... and let us try again." It was one thing to do a move successfully once, but true success was being able to repeat it--often.

Zurok would note that when she touched Allora, although the muscles being tense, they had tensed up even more. However Allora soon put two and two together, and understood that Zurok was just trying to assist her in striking the right positions. So Allora allowed herself to do as she had seen, this time her tense muscles nearly imperceptible.
When Zurok asked Allora to do it again, Allora felt more confident in her abilities to mimic what Zurok had done. So Allora once again did strike that lambent posed, this time far more fluid, like the changing tides, then rigid like millennium mountains. Allora moved, mimicking the waters and coaxed a vine from a gnarled, swamp tree, coiling it and uncoiling it, this time with far more ease. Allora had got it, and she hopes so too, with flying colors.
Once the training was done, and Zurok had judged Allora's progress, gauged it, and told her to stop practicing, the young water bender would stand at ease and wait for the next lesson, or a deeper lesson delving into the one they learned now.

| At the initial tensing up, Zurok would simply whisper a soft "shh..." as if to say that she wasn't intending to bring any harm to the scantily-clad young lady--because she wasn't. If the young girl was not comfortable in her skin, she could have theoretically kept her clothes on... but Zurok imagined that she'd be drenched with sweat by that point if she had done so. And so, after the occasional extra small shift or suggestion for the girl's posture, she was soon leaving her to her own devices, so to speak and watching her demonstrations.
Watching the younger girl, Zurok grinned. It was more of a smile actually--the proud smile of a teacher watching a fast-learning student, and so as Allora repeated the motions, she was soon getting better and coiling and uncoiling the vine. Of course, this was just getting their feet wet (metaphorically speaking; their socks and shoes were high and dry--for it would be horribly uncomfortable if they got wet), and so there was plenty more to teach. But... perhaps it would not take as long as Zurok thought if Allora was making this kind of progress.
Next up, Zurok showed her how to control two different vines with both hands. It was slightly different from the first technique, but would also give the user more flexibility if the time came. And of course, it wasn't like these vines were the only plants Allora would know how to bend if she tried using these abilities outside of this locale--well, eventually anyhoo. "would you like me to demonstrate the difference in techniques behind this move now," she asked, looking the younger (but slightly taller) girl over. Again, Zurok was not checking her out, per se, as much as she was just watching her body to see how she was feeling. "If you need to rest, we can sit down a moment. There is no point in pushing yourself too hard, after all..." there were a few flat and fairly smooth rocks that were large enough to sit on, and unless the skin of their upper thighs was made of paper, would not likely hurt at all.
Besides... if Allora was enjoying this type of bending and learning... they could always stay here longer (though probably still go back to the boat at nights of course), or as long as they wished to do so.
