| It had been a very difficult journey. A very tiring journey. And a very exhausting journey. Her boat creaked in the night as Solei's brown gaze continued to peer in the darkness. The only lighting being the moon. Shifting through her thick Southern water tribe fur coat, she finally found her compass and placed it on her map so that she could attempt to track where she was once more.
She had gotten lost when ice glacier's appeared out of nowhere, though she knew full well that it wasn't out of nowhere. Solei had fallen asleep, using Bukk, her pet wolf-leopard, as a comfy and fuzzy pillow. And then by the time she woke up, one glacier had scrapped the edge of her boat. It hadn't done anything, just messed up the wood that Solei had worked so hard on forming when she was younger with her father. It had been the only thing that they had been able to do together.
Solei had opted to push glaciers away if she had to, but other than that had steered through the glaciers no problem. But the teenager had decided that she would no longer sleep and focus.
Her eyes ached and itched from lack of sleep, and the cold bit at her skin as she continued to watch the darkness of the night merge with the darkness of the sea. Solei started to wonder if she would ever get out of the sea. If her little adventure had simply been stupid and silly. Maybe staying at the Southern Water Tribe would've been best-
The teenager stood up so fast that Bukk, whom Solei had wrapped in her sleeping back to keep warm, though his fur probably worked just fine, jumped up as well and alert. His face was pinched, like a leopards and his ears pointed up sharply, twitching to listen for any noise. Black spots dotted his perfect white fur, a pink nose twitching in the sky before pressing into his masters hand. Solei pressed back as a comfort, his nails clicked against the ground as he moved to sit closer to her, a large wolf-like tail switching beside her loyally.
"There...Bukk, land. There's land!" Cried out Solei and she hurriedly took a water bending stance and started moving the boat quicker towards the small speck that she saw.
Sweat started to form at her brow as she continued to manipulate the tides to her advantage, before she lurched forward, something knocking the ship lightly. But that only encouraged Solei to lurch herself forward. This technique being the only few ones that Solei had been able to learn properly.
When she stumbled forward again, it wasn't because a creature had rocked the boat, it was because she had hit land.
Sighing with relief, Solei fell to her knees and collapsed in her boat, somehow managing to grab her sleeping back and pull it over her so she could sleep on the hard wooden floor of the boat. Bukk let out a growl, peering over the edge of the boat, spotting a large fin, he gave a warning growl before starting to pace around the boat impatiently, not liking a creature being so close, and dangerous to his master. But his master wasn't moving any time soon.

It was a dreaded day for Hakota-Zai, the most dreaded, in fact; he had finally been forced by some strange twist of fate to return home to Kiyoshi Island. This was the one place he'd never expected to return to for a great length of time. He felt little else but shame and disappointment-- though he sat here now in the one place in the world solely his own, looking out from tree upon which he sat to the vibrant ocean before him. It reflected the stars and moon above with such brilliance that Hakota couldn't help but be calmed by it. The only motion was the ocean's eternal dance, and the wind's vigilant embrace as it caressed the tattered black cloak and worn Kiyoshi robes that Zai wore.
But something came upon the ocean, gliding over the reflection of the moon. He squinted his only good eye trying to decipher the shape: a boat. And oarless, engineless boat. All the way from the southern water tribe? That was a long ways to sail, even by a waterbender's standards. But this was only a passing interest to Zai. Visitors from the Southern Tribe weren't so uncommon. But what did bother Zai was the creatures in the surf, like the one that bumped her craft, and then began stalking her below the water once she grounded. He found it strange she didn't seem to take notice, and fell asleep in her craft while aground on the beach.
Whether it was concern or Zai's unwittingly protective nature that drove him to act was unclear, but either way he leaped from his hidden place on the tree's bough and dashed across the beach. He was unarmored and had only his sword and hands as weapons, but they'd have to do it came to it; for now all he could do was jump into the vessel, hoping to grab its passenger and hop out. But the Mercenary came to a dead stop in the face of a growling wolf-leopard and nearly tripped over the woman within the boat.
"Err... Good.... Kitty-puppy?... Err... Just trying to help your master from the bad fishies," he said in his calm tone, barely above a whisper but strangely audible, keeping low and with his hands extended out to show he wasn't a threat. He'd then try to shake the girl from her sleep, if the pet didn't try to maul him first, that is.

| Bukk looked over at the man, growling dangerously at first simply just trying to scare the threat away. But when the wolf-leopard felt no threat and saw none with his out stretched hands, he lazily laid back down in the boat, revealing his laid back personality and status as a horrible guard dog.
Some one shook Solei, and she was forced to open her eyes, when she came to a very handsome face, at first she was just dreaming. One of his eyes were hidden by some sort of silk, she vaguely realized that black, raven feathered like hair peaked from whatever was covering his eye and part of his hair as well. One lone blue eye looked down at her with concern. Her gaze faltered for a moment, landing on what looked like some sort of armor- was he a warrior?
Finally realizing that he wanted her to sit up and wake up, Solei put great effort and a groan in sitting up, her eyes still droopy, sleepy, "If this is a dream..you don't have to ask, just kiss me. If it's not, then I'm embarrassed." She blurted out, making it obvious she wasn't quite sure. And if she were more awake, and had a decent amount of sleep, she probably would've given the person a smile, grinned happily, introduced herself and Bukk and inquired as to who he was and what he was doing (traveling, hunting, etc). But it wasn't the case obviously.

The girl stirred as he shook her lightly, and the animal made no move to stop him now that he'd presented himself as harmless. The girl herself was rather small, and lean at that. This made her seem quite fragile to Zai, but his trained eye could tell she was healthy through training. Her muscles and movements showed slight hints of it. It didn't help that she was kinda cute, but the situation demanded Zai not to be distracted.
She slowly sat up, Hakota put an arm around her to help her when she spoke out in her tired stupor. "If this is a dream..you don't have to ask, just kiss me. If it's not, then I'm embarrassed," she said while looking up at him. He couldn't help but grin, finding this somewhat amusing.
The situation was slightly pressing, though, so he turned his grin into a light smile. " 'Tis not a dream, hun. Perhaps another time, though," he joked lightly in his level, if quiet, voice. He continued on, though, "Right now, it's not safe here. If ye are too tired to raise yourself, I'll carry ya fine enough." It was a request, but there was a slight urgency to it as something bumped the boat again. The sea creatures around Kiyoshi did not fear shallow waters. This made keeping a smaller craft even partially in the water a danger.

| Solei sighed for a moment, wanting to tell him to back off since she had been awake for the past two days and wanted to go back to sleep. But a whine behind her alerted her, and she rolled her head to where Bukk was and saw his ears back as he started to bark, Solei's gaze fell to the water and she finally realized something was bumping her boat.
Shoot, she thought as she pushed through her exhaustion. She had foolishly believed she was safe with just part of her boat on land, "I can stand on my own, thanks," she said grateful as she got to her feet and said uncertainly, "Help me move my boat?" She asked as she jumped out of the boat and onto the soft sand of the beach. Should she water bend? The creatures were in the water and so Solei wasn't too certain if she should water bend her tiny ship more onto the sand or not.
Bukk followed suit of his Mistress and went a safe distance away and started barking at the water, whining and trying to get Solei to move away from the water. But Solei was too attached to the boat to let any monster smash it, she gripped the rope that she usually used to tie it off and tugged with all her might. It was quite comical to see a tiny girl such as herself, pulling a boat, even a small one, like the one she was attempting to pull.
Solei feared though that the boat would be lost, there was no way that even with both of them they could take it up on the sand.
[OOC: We don't have to save the boat, Solei will mostly be walking through the Earth Kingdom after this^^]

The petite girl rose on her own, shrugging off Zai as she leaped from the boat, her pet following suite. She had asked of him to aid her, but something about the small frame pulling on the boat's docking lash struck him as a curious sight. He soon realized his hesitation was not helping and he too jumped down onto the sand. His hands took hold of the rope and he too pulled with what might he could manage. The girl's strength was menial, however, and his own also left much to be desired.
Zai cursed under his breath as a loud crack emitted from the boat's aft, a chunk of the well-crafted wood lost to sea as the creature of Kyoshi's waters tore it away. But the boat was lighter now and slid along the sand until it was ashore. What was left of it, at least. Hakota dropped the rope as the damaged craft reached safety. He leaned over, panting as he tried to catch his breath from the effort.
"For such a small craft, this thing feels like it's made of stone," he said in a somewhat comical tone. But he eyed the wood of the boat now. It was obviously a well-made piece. Must even be hand crafted. It came to him now that this must have sentimental value to this girl. "I'm sorry about yer boat, err... Miss..." It came to him he didn't know her name, nor did she know his. But he thought against introducing himself given the damage to her valued craft.

| ((Sorry for the wait! Was on summer vacation =D Officially back though!))
Looking sadly at her boat, Solei's heart ached at the work that she had put into the wood. Digging away at it with the knife slowly, making it sturdy to float and even take on any ice burgs that might scrape against it. It would leave a dent, or scratch of course, but it wouldn't leak. The wood was completely scratched, or eaten, away.
"Well...I guess I won't need it anymore, I made it to my destination anyways," Solei said out loud with a sad chuckle, but she had been prepared to travel on foot once she got to Kyoshi Island, so with a sad heart she decided to leave the ship, grabbing a pack and slinging it over her shoulder.
Only afterwards did she realize she hadn't introduced herself, and that the "Miss" that had lingered at his statement was an invitation to introduce herself, "Solei Norvia, of the Southern water tribe, and this is Bukk my pet wolf leopard," she beamed proudly, the creature sat lazily but loyally at his Mistress' side, "He may seem dangerous, but I'm yet to see him defend me from anything. And you?" Solei asked politely, extending her hand a bright smile on her face. Her fatigue seemed to be gone entirely, and in it's place was a very bright and cheerful young woman.
