Minali Otoyome	Noticing that Akhet has things well in hand, Minali rose, reaching for the broom once again, starting to brush the dusty debris into a single large pile. She worked quickly, just as he was. "Ah should probably run out an' get some mortar an' new bricks... before all th'shops around close." Though, the sweeping would be finished, first. At one point, when she was sweeping the mess close to him, Minali batted at his thigh with the broom before quickly moving away, hopefully out of Akhet's reach, an innocent smile plastered on her face.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	he nodded at her, having been wondering if she had had such things with her. "A smart plan." he concurred, "want me to go with, or should I keep an eye on the shop?" By that, he meant 'continue working', which he was fine with. when he tapped the broom against his thigh, he chuckled, retaliating by pulling just a splash of water out from the skins around his hips, throwing it against her leg to splash it--nothing major--only about half the size of his fist he purposely whistled an innocent tune and turned away, grinning with his face away from her view.

Minali Otoyome	Squealing when the water splashed against her leg, Minali dropped the broom, surprised at his retaliation. "Y'brat!" She laughed, trying to wipe the water off her leg before it soaked any more of her clothes than it already had, "Ah'll get'cha back fer that, somehow..!" Scrunching her nose, Minali laughed again, shaking her head in good humor. Then, to answer his question, she nodded, "M'pretty sure that th'place fer that stuff's right around th'corner, near th'blacksmith. Ah can go an' hopefully be back in a few minutes... If y'would stay, Ah'd feel better about th'hole in th'wall." Though she wouldn't say it, the gaping hole made her feel uncomfortable and more than a little worried about more theft.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet laughed, putting on a comically mischievous grin. "I've got plenty more..." he cooed, patting the skins on his sides, casually getting back to work after her little laugh. It was good to know that she had a sense of humor. He just needed to remember not to tease regarding her machines. Easy enough. the water he had thrown at her was just a tiny bit that might have soaked through a small piece of her shorts. there wasn't even enough to run down her leg or get into her socks and boots. "Sure thing." he nodded at her request, "I'll keep watch around here. it'll be mostly cleaned up by the time you get back." he assured her. "See ya in a few then?" he was sort of on all fours, jumping around as he grabbed the various bricks and chunks of rock, tossing them skillfully into each respective pile.

Minali Otoyome	Minali nods, moving toward the stairs, "Ah should be back right quick... If y'need anythin' around th'house, feel free t'grab whatever." Offering a small wave and a smile, she turned and climbed the stairs, unable to bounce the way up, as she did on the way down. The front door opened and shut, signalling her departure. The shop in question was, in fact, near the blacksmith, and it took her only a few minutes to find it. Haggling with the owner, she negotiated for bricks, mortar, and a mortar board, to smooth it all over once the bricks were set in place.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	"alright." he nodded at her. He did nt necessarily want to go snooping around the house, but he did poke around a little upstairs to get a glass of water. (for the water in his skins was not for drinking unless the emergency was dire). other than that, he quietly continued to work and sort the bricks, putting them into the piles as he hummed the tune from before. after he finished that, he started sweeping up the remaining mess, still humming. This would be what Minali would come back to upon her return.

Minali Otoyome	Minali carried the bricks back, on her own, holding them with both hands, close to her chest, the mortar mix and other tools resting on top of it all. She paused, at the top of the stairs, trying to make sure that her foot met firmly with the step each time, terrified of falling. "Ah'm back," She mentioned from behind the mountain of material, coming down the stairs very, very, very slowly.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	upon hearing her return, he went to meet her, assuming that she would probably need help. Sure enough, it looked like she did. "You want me to help you with that?" he offered, knowing that if she fell, it would be catastrophic. And as much as he liked seeing her undressed, having to heal her injuries again was not worth the trouble and the mess the falling materials would cause. Even before waiting for her answer, he made his way up the stairs, backing down them slowly as she descended them. He held his hands gently in front of the pile of materials, to prevent it from tipping forward.

Minali Otoyome	"Th - thanks," She panted, still trying to keep her footing on the stairs, letting him keep the pile steady. Her curls had fallen into her face, despite the goggles which usually kept it back, giving her a look of exertion. Once Akhet had helped her reach the ground, Minali set the bricks down before straightening to stretch her back out. "Ah didn't realize th'bricks'd be so heavy," She admitted with a sheepish grin, "Figured Ah could handle it..." Looking around the basement workshop, her smile brightened, "Y'finished! S'perfect; ready fer us t'get t'work. D'ya need anythin', before we start layin' th'bricks?" Glancing back at him, Minali tilted her head to the side.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	"no problem." he chuckled. "while I wouldn't mind giving you another healing massage, that would have created one hell of a mess, and wasted a lot of money, time and energy. Can't be having that right now..." he watched her stretch, finding her quite cute-looking as she did so. "welp... either way, weve got 'them safe and sound now, so I'm ready when you are. I think the only thing I might need is another glass of water. Apart from that, I'm ready to work." he cracked his knuckles, rolling his shoulders.

Minali Otoyome	"Ah'll get it for ya," Minali offered, turning back toward the stairs, "Gotta get water t'mix up th'mortar, anyway." This time, without the weight of the bricks, she did bounce her way up the stairs, but not before grabbing a bucket to take with her. When she returned, she held both a glass and the bucket of water, carefully making her way back down. "Issat good?" She asked him, passing over the glass. Then, moving to the workbench, she set the bucket down, grabbing the mortar mix. Once Minali had checked the measurements that were written on the side of the bag, she dumped most of the mix in, churning it with a stick. In no time, it had formed a thick concoction, perfect for laying the bricks to repair the damage to the wall.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	"he watched her bounce up the stairs, nearly mesmerized by those adorable bouncy curls of hers. He wanted to play with them. A lot. he drained the glass with a smile and an "aaah". "Aye." he nodded. "thanks for that." Other than that, he just watched her mix the mortar, again sort of mesmerized by those bouncy curls. as soon as she was finished, he would wait to see what she wanted him to do, for he was still ready to work. The original act of cleaning up and sorting the broken old bricks was just a warm-up act for him if anything.

Minali Otoyome	Inspecting the hole for a moment or two, Minali hummed. "Why don'tcha spread th'mortar, an' Ah'll lay th'bricks as ya go along?" She offered, figuring that it was a decent solution. One job wasn't necessarily harder than the other, but the two of them should get it done fairly fast. Still, if he wanted to lay the bricks, instead, she wouldn't care.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	"as you wish," he nodded, smiling coolly as he lifted the bucket of mortar, the tool in his other hand. Provided that she followed him and was ready, he began to lay the mortar down, moving back to let her lay the bricks as he repeated the motions, working well in cooperation with her as they went. he was humming that same tune that he had been humming when he was cleaning up the mess--that same old lullaby. He liked being in Minali's company, if nothing else, although was still not entirely sure what the official status of their relationship was. Oh well. he would figure it out soon enough.

Minali Otoyome	Listening to Akhet hum made the time go by much faster. At one point, Minali would try to add her humming to his own, following the tune that he'd set. After too many mistakes, she would just give a small laugh before stopping, allowing him to pick up the proper melody. In no time at all, they had a good start; their new wall went up to about their knees (when standing). The sun had firmly set, however, leaving them with the light from the workroom, as well as a streetlamp burning nearby, outside. "Y'gettin' hungry?" Minali asks suddenly, looking over at him, "Ah could throw somethin' together, right quick."

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Akhet was not necessarily new to stone construction, but he had not really done this himself before. Still... it was not like he was building a water clock or something. he was just building a wall. It was easy enough, and he was sure that she would have corrected him if he was doing something wrong. So far, as he glanced at it, it seemed good. "Sure." he nodded at her. "if you're offering. go ahead and grab yourself something to eat and I;ll keep working. Anything you make is good enough for me." he meant that, although did not want to sound like he was expecting her to make him something. He just figured she would since she offered. He saw no reason to stop since he would not be helping cooking (unless she asked him to, of course), and so he figured he might as well continue working.

Minali Otoyome	Minali rose from her spot, once again stretching out her back, lifting her arms up above her head as she did. "Ah'm figurin' on omelettes, if that's alright?" She asked, looking down at him; though, soon, they'd both be able to work standing, since the wall was growing so tall. Though still listening for his answer, she moved toward the stairs, reaching for the railing.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	This time he turned around and watched her stretch, rather blatantly. However, it was without a word, and in his hands were still the tools. "Hard to go wrong with those." he replied, "Thanks..." he paused. "well... in advance." he added with a chuckle. after she went upstairs, he continued working, switching occasionally between humming and whistling, changing the pitch of his tune a few times to spice it up. other than occasionally stopping to stretch or pop his knuckles, he stayed working, and would until the smell of food began wafting towards him from upstairs.

Minali Otoyome	Soon after Akhet would be able to smell the food, he'd also hear Minali calling down, "Come an' get it!" She was standing in the kitchen barefoot, having kicked off both her shoes and her socks. With a skillet in one hand, and a spatula in the other, she was flipping a third omelette, almost finished with it. A plate was set on the table, along with a fork; it held the first two that she'd made. "Ah added peppers to it," She'd tell him, once he reached the kitchen, "An' some komodo rhino sausage, an' spices. Hope ya like it! Those two're fer you; wasn't sure how much ya would eat, bein' a guy an' all." With another flip of the skillet, she set her own omelette onto a plate. Carrying her food with one hand, and two small canisters in the other, she joined him at the table. "Salt an' pepper?" She held them out to him.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	He did notice that she was barefoot, meaning this was the first time he had seen her feet. He knew that somewhere there was probably a joke to be made, but he resisted. he did subtly remove his own shoes though, being also barefoot. He'd consider putting them back on when they went back downstairs, but would worry about such a trivial thing later. as he noticed the omelets, he also found his joke. "I will eat about 200 of these." he grinned. "for that's what men do." It was an outrageously high enough number that he did not think Minali would actually buy it. he took a big whiff of them and smiled more sincerely. "they smell great." he took them to the table, sitting down as she did. "Yes please." he replied in response to salt and pepper. applying them to his omelets, he then sat down and began eating, enjoying what he was tasting.

Minali Otoyome	As she ate, Minali's legs swung gently under the table, though once again not in tandem. She acutely aware of his own legs, also under the table, and was therefore carefully avoiding contact. His joke cause her to roll her eyes - as her mouth was full - but the compliment to her cooking drew forth a nod and a smile. She didn't try to initiate conversation, this time, but watched him across the table. While Minali thought that she was being subtle, her gaze was probably pretty noticeable.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	he winked at her when she rolled her eyes, but otherwise quietly ate his food, swinging his legs idly, not really worrying if they made contact with hers. he smiled back at her when she smiled at him, and he continued eating, perfectly okay with the silence as well--at least for a while. When he was about half finished, he looked up at her, noticing her gaze (having noticed it for a while now. "while I do not mind you looking at me," he quipped, "I do hope my good looks have not captivated you to the point of not finishing your meal--especially something this delicious." Good ol' Akhet. Always up for a playful joke here and there.

Minali Otoyome	Before Minali could answer, her foot brushed up against his leg, unintentionally. Drawing both her legs back, tucking her feet under her chair to keep them still; she didn't acknowledge their contact. Instead, she idly played with the remainder of her food, pushing it around the plate with her fork, considering a good comeback to his teasing. Unfortunately, nothing good came to her. Pouting, she crossed her arms over her chest, looking across the table at Akhet. "Ah wasn't lookin'," She protests, trying to deny the whole thing, despite being caught red-handed; so to speak.

Akhet Sumatra Tallarico	Unlike her, Akhet wore pants that ended at his ankles. he grinned subtly as her foot touched his, but otherwise did not react, casually finishing his food. he noticed that she seemed deep in thought after his joke, as if to think of a comeback. He had to lay another one down after seeing her face though. "You're adorable when you pout." he chuckled teasingly. "and for someone who thought they couldn't cook too well, I'm actually impressed. it was delicious, and so for that... thank you." he was still grinning at her blushing poutiness, but his gratitude for the meal was sincere.

Minali Otoyome	His comment caused her to blush, that soft pink color spreading across her cheeks, though she didn't respond, refusing to acknowledge the teasing. "Yer welcome," She did say, "Ah'm glad y'liked it... M'best at makin' breakfast food, truth be told; tend t'burn dinner stuff." Minali had seemed fairly adept at wielding the skillet and spatula, as frying was her preferred cooking method. She loved pancakes and french toast, enjoyed bacon and eggs, and was even known to experiment with breakfast potato dishes. If Akhet stuck around long enough, and was in the position of having her cook for him again, he'd likely notice that her pattern was breakfast for all three meals of the day.
