Personality: Though most firebenders are known for being hot headed and rash, Tensei breaks the mold in that regard. He tends to take the road of observation before acting in a situation and prides himself on being the level headed person in a group. Though this may seem contradictory for one enlisted in the Fire Nation Army, Tensei is loyal in his duties and hopes to one day be promoted to a high ranking position so that his mind set can be passed down to those under his command.

Abilities: Tensei is a near adept level firebender who uses a mix of dexterity and speed to achieve the most out of his bending. He prefers to stick to the traditional style of firebending as he sees unique styles unnecessary this early in his life. He also is not one to utilize weapons, and instead focusses on improving his skills as a bender. In terms of combat style, Tensei prefers mid to long range fighting as his lanky limbs don't fair well in close quarter situations, but do provide a large enough area to send attacks in various places. He has extremely little experience with lightning, having only created it once and never dared to try his hand at redirecting it.

Appearance: Tensei stands at roughly six feet tall and weighs around one hundred and seventy pounds. He has a milk chocolate skin complexion with matching eyes. His hair is black and is shaved into a mohawk that reaches roughly two and a half inches in length. Due to his height and lack of weight the young man seems lanky in appearance, and on sluggish days may seem to resemble a zombie.

He usually keep little more than a mustache worth of facial hair on his person as that is the most Tensei has ever been able to grow throughout his life. His physique is mildly athletic, as being in the Fire Nation military has kept Tensei in above average shape. In terms of clothing Tensei usually adorns his Fire Nation military apparel even when not on a mission, though he does do without the helmet as it has a tendency to scare small children off. On the rare occasion when his military garb isn't an option simple dark red robes and matching pants usually do the trick. In terms of unique body marks the only alteration Tensei has made is a red dragon tattoo on his right arm. The head starts at the back of his palm and snakes its way around the arm until it hits his elbow.

History: Born in the small village of Shu Jing to two non-bending parents, Tensei was the youngest of three children. He had two younger sisters, one of which would turn out to be a bender herself. It wasn't until age seven did Tensei's parents find out that their first child was also a bender. Interestingly enough, they found out when loaf after loaf of his mothers bread ended up burnt, and his sister denied any involvement. It turned out that in an attempt to speed up the baking process Tensei would unintentionally burn the loaves. To Tensei's parents, this was a unique experience, but one they would experience once more when Nokomi's bending surfaced.

He had always dreamed of joining the military when the time was right but unfortunately, Tensei would never get the chance to speak with parents about the decision as they were violently murdered by a group of assassins. This prompted the now orphaned trio to set out on a journey of their own. However, during the journey the youngest of the group lost her life to a drowning incident, which shook the remaining two. With one sibling now gone, Tenei thought it best to return to civilization, and one night left his sister to return to the Fire Nation.

Upon returning, he was placed into a foster family where not only his personality, but also bending flourished. He always wondered about the whereabouts of his sister and one day hoped to reunite with her, but had already left civilization once before and had no plans to do so once again. At the age of seventeen Tensei enlisted in the Fire Nation military where he could officially serve his nation, after three years of service was promoted to Sergeant.
