Personality: One could almost say Han has been adultified due to his life experiences, and as such acts much differently than most people his age. His demeanor can be quite reserved around those he has yet to meet and the joyous, childlike persona rarely shows itself. Most of this is brought about due to his Master’s teachings. Han approaches the world through the eyes of someone who sees the world for what it really is, instead of the pomp and circumstance that so many have clouded their judgment with. However, there are odd days when the bubbling energy of youth cannot be contained and Han reverts to a state of childlike wonder and amazement.

Abilities: Han is novice airbender who has not received formal training from any air nomad. However, his master Gen Zhou often trains him in various martial arts that can he uses in connection with his own bending. Being only thirteen years of age, the odds of being anything other than a novice, especially without formal training, were slim to begin with; so in actuality he is in the same category as any other thirteen year old benders.

Han stands at roughly five foot four inches and weighs no more than one hundred and twenty five pounds. He has a fair skin complexion to go along with his dark brown eyes and dark blue hair, which takes on a spiky look of sorts. Han bears no striking scars or body modifications of any kind.

In terms of clothing Han wears nothing that would ally him to any one nation, and his style is like none other in the world. For starts he adorns dark blue cotton pants with a matching jacket that has an orange trim around the cuffs and collar. Underneath the jacket is a tan colored shirt. His shoes consist of a sandal like contraption with high ankle support. An interesting accessory that Han wears are a pair of orange tinted goggles with a matching orange back strap. As he is often traveling it helps shield the elements from his eyes.

History: Born of a air bending mother and a water bending father, Han’s family resided in the Northern Water Tribe. He was the second of four children and the only other air bender aside from his elder sister Hun. When he was very young his parents sent Hun off to an air temple so that she could receive official training, and that would be the last time Han would ever see his sister. Around the age of eight was when Han’s family discovered there was another bender amongst their midst’s, but his parents felt that he was too young to be shipped off to a temple for training and instead be trained by his mother. A while later, he and his family were taking a trip to a small village in the Earth Kingdom when the unthinkable happened.

A squadron of fire nation soldiers attacked the village killing everybody in their path, that is, except for Han. His family had him before setting off to try and defend the villagers. In all the commotion they were forced out of the village before being able to return to Han. In a seemingly backwards act, a Colonel from the Fire Nation fished him from the rubble and took the boy under his wing. This man was Gen Zhou, and though he was no air bender he would begin to train Han in the ways of combat that could be utilized with his bending abilities. Now at the age of 13, Han sees Gen as a surrogate father of sorts though he thinks about his family each and every day. The pair are now traveling towards an air temple so that Han may begin his official training.

I'm curious about why the Fire Nation was attacking Earth Kingdom villages 5 years ago, but I understand how you need it for your story, so I won't deny you because of it.

The family wasn't supposed to be nuked to death, they were only supposed to get separated in the fight. Lol they were only supposed to lose you and never be able to find you again. Not die!
