Aowaka Nakkoa [Complete] Empty
PostSubject: Aowaka Nakkoa [Complete]   Aowaka Nakkoa [Complete] EmptyMon Jul 09, 2012 11:42 pm

Full Name: Nakkoa Aowaka
Gender: Seriously? I know you're not honestly asking me this question right now.
Age: 22 years old and don't you forget it baby.
Element: Water||Ice.
Birthplace: The Norther Water Tribe.
Position: Wolf Fang of the North|| Warrior Captain of the NWT Army

Personality:

First impressions are often entirely wrong, and this statement is true in poor Nakkoa's case. Her disposition at first glance is distant, and her chilling aura is quite unnerving to anyone unfamiliar with her. In her line of "work" she does what she has to do to get the job done; for Nakkoa the end justifies the means no matter the cost. Either you roll with her or you get out of her way, there's no getting around it. The young waterbender is very blunt and direct in her approach; need someone to talk to? Just give KoKo a shout, she'll listen until her ear falls off and will offer her advice only if you ask...just don't bring up the subject of boys...she is absolutely fail in that department. You may not like what you hear, but it'll be the honest truth. She's stubborn and rightfully a troublemaker, street-smart and a tad lazy; if it doesn't interest her then you can count her out.

Outside of her role she's surprisingly gregarious, light-hearted, resourceful and passionate, and is the pistol of fire and moonstone. Her seemingly complicated nature is only outmatched by her sheer resilience in the face of adversity (whatever that would be) and her fearlessness. In most situations Nakkoa is considered to be very calm and quite cool. Much like her animal counterpart, her reactions to things can be described as "cool-under-fire", until specific buttons are pushed. When those specific buttons are hit....well....be ready for what comes next. Nakkoa can be the warmest and funniest girl you know until you make her angry. Lie to her, take advantage of her or try and make a fool out of her and see what happens; there's a reason why she's called The Wolf's Fang. She will Break. Your. Face. She may not be the most cuddliest girl around but you can bet she'll crack a skull and break some faces for the ones she cares for. Put simply, Nakkoa is a great gal to have as a good friend, just isn't one to be trifled with.

Abilities:

Huntress - A favorite past time of hers that will never get old, Nakkoa is the queen of the hunt. To be honest she prefers this to going out into a store to buy her food. In this field not only does she exercise her strategic skills, but also her dexterity, stamina and strength. The trio of hunters' daggers kept at her side are her main tools to bring down prey, (as being up close and personal is her thing). Nakkoa's known to literally wrestle with a beast before subduing it with a pierce to the heart. Usually on her excursions she's accompanied with her younger brother, a small group of 3 friends and her wolf-lion Kaira. Sometimes, when Kanoei isn't too busy gallivanting around the world, he'll even join her on her hunting quests.

Warrior: Intermediate||Regular Class - Nakkoa learned from her mother in the ways of combat and weapon mastery. Whether it was to redirect her insane strength into something useful or to curtail her boundless energy, nobody knew. As a child going into her teen years she leaned toward blades the most, close range being her forte. Her father focused on her strength and durability whilst her mother worked with Nakkoa's keen eyesight and reflexes. Her fighting style became robust and monkey-like at best. Together they worked to mold her and her brother into the formidable warriors that they are at present. Nakkoa's known to be pretty heavy handed and her hits tend to hurt even when she doesn't mean it.

Nervous laugh. "Er....sorry?"

Bender: Expert Class -
As with the rest of her prodigious lineage, Nakkoa is a talented waterbender and rightfully earned the level of being an expert. From the tender age of four Nakkoa was intensely trained in the arts of her ancestor's bending style. She's proficient in the Aowaka style but tends to throw in her own creations for good measure. Like her martial arts, her body is what she uses to augment her bending and is her final weapon; she doesn't discriminate between ice or water as a form choice. Ironically, healing is more along her cousin's field and he is extremely adept in it. For Nakkoa, her skill with it is pretty intermediate, Bloodbending is her stomping ground (at least she's not as disturbed by it) ; her cousin Kanoei wouldn't touch Bloodbending with a 30 ft glider-staff. Even still, her ability with healing is good enough, but her Waterbending trumps that sub-art. She's still learning the ropes as far as blood-bending goes and her goal is to cover it to reach master status. Even still, her waterbending is much more of a force to be reckoned with.

Appearance:

Gear:
-Twin Scimitars (Curved)
-3 Hunter's Daggers
-Travel bag with a water tribe insignia as the clasp.
-A nestball.
-A small case to hold her keepsakes.

Nakkoa is 5 foot 9 and weighs in at 130 lbs. Her shape is defined as an S-Line with slender guns and toned legs. Her hair is chocolate brown and rolls in waves that ends in the middle of her back, usually kept in a high ponytail with twin clasps on either side of her face. Koa's skin is the color of caramels with deep almond-shaped turquoise eyes. She's neither tall nor short, and carries the mark of Enama on the nape of her neck proudly. The mark of Mastery can be found on the upper side of her right arm, as well as a jagged scar running from the nape of her neck to her left shoulder blade. Her clothing mainly consists of a long-sleeved black thermal suit that is worn under a short-sleeved dark blue water tribe tunic dress. The dress stops just above her knees. The uni suit's pants are tucked firmly in a pair of knee-high fur insulated boots while she wears nothing but a bracelet on her left wrist. There is a white belt she ties around her waist to fashion her outfit as a shirt and pants set. When it's extremely cold she'll wear a dark blue parka with a belt tied around in the same style. Around her neck is a cerulean choker decorated with wolf-lion incisors, with the Aowaka insignia as the focal piece.

History: -As told by, as she's affectionately called, "KoKo" Aowaka-

Koda was never a woman who believed in fate, never. Quite frankly she was a woman who'd grab life by the reigns and steer it wherever she demanded it to go. Not once had she ever believed in fairy-tales, and never did she ever put faith in love at first sight. However she also found herself in the most accursed situations each and every time and it never failed. So when a handsome, dapper warrior by the name of Takoda waltzed in her life......everything pretty much went to chaos. Koda would've been lying if she said he hadn't swept her off of her feet, for he wasn't just any stranger but her best friend. Though they were discreet, it wasn't hard for anyone who knew them to tell that they were madly in love and unsurprisingly they'd announced their engagement a year later.

As misfortune would have it, luck decided to throw a massive monkey wrench in Koda's red string of fate. They'd only been engaged for six months when Takoda was ruthlessly killed in battle. To make matters worse, the waterbender found out that she was pregnant shortly afterward; at this point the girl was utterly lost, all over the place and confused.....yet after intense consideration she made a careful choice.....

And stuck with it.

Nakkoa was born in the dead of winter on the sixteenth day of the 12 month under a full moon; she was the firstborn grandchild of Hakano of the North, and the only daughter of Koda, a captain of the tribe's massive fleet and the late Takoda, a highly ranked warrior in their tribe's army. Even though she knew next to nothing about the events that transpired before her birth, Nakkoa was a pretty content baby. Her mother shadowed her like a lionhawk and her grandfather and uncle were the stand-ins. Nakkoa basked in the affection until she was two years old......that was when her bubble shattered.

Her aunt and uncle brought home a squirming bundle of loudness that resembled a crotchety old man...insisting that the troublesome thing was her cousin. Were they serious? Looking back, Nakkoa would attest to the fact that she was not a very good big cousin at first, in fact...she couldn't stand little Kanoei at all, and the feeling was one-sided. On one particular day when she was 4 and her cousin was 2, tiny Kanoei chucked a block straight at her forehead and Nakkoa's reaction was instantaneous. She flailed her arms and immobilized the block in a wave of ice, sending it to the floor with a resounding clang!. To say that her clan was floored would be an understatement; her mother and grandfather took to training her immediately.

The rest is technically history. Nakkoa was enrolled in her family's school and was trained profusely in the arts of bending. She underwent her nobility curriculum until it nearly killed her, and developed her stigma as being the Wolf's Fang from her various (and quite dangerous) adventures. To this day she still holds her title of being the Wolf Fang of the North and manages to land herself in a skirmish on a regular basis. Nakkoa would aspire to be a captain like her mother, but she'd rather be a General in her tribe's army for some reason.

A reason that only her mother knows why.

Just answer the gender question. But there's no real harm in letting it be there, so approved. Just wait for two more approvals.

The Avatar Approves of this Profile

although since we both based ourselves loosely off of Korra, it's possible that she and Zul may look a bit alike. (except you'll be taller, sinc everyone's taller than Zul anyways. xD)
but I don't mind it. cool beans.

Approved. Was a slight iffy at first with your more general descriptions, but your abilities cleared up quite a bit.

And remember, it takes a great deal of time to even start delving into bloodbending, especially since initial practitioners must do so on the full/bloodmoon.

Anyways, that's three approvals. Enjoy your new character, Hun-Hun. Hope to see you IC soon. ^_^
